As I understand it this information was going to come out before the release of the 2023 V4R then got held up. I also believe it was then going to be announced before Christmas but again was held up, with the announcement imminent...
thing is will it be in the 2023 V4R? If they want it in the race bike then it will need homologating........

what ever way you look at it its been a poor run of events. I know of three of us that walked away from a new 2023 R as it wasn't special enough.....then they do this?

On my logic its all been a bit rushed at the end id say you probably don't want one of the first ones released........

This info particularly around the gearbox and R appears to be such a secret in the UK yet they are on the WWW with this event in America........????

I doubt this is available on the production bike… it’s more likely to be a DP part.

Which needs to be Homologated if they are to use it in the WSB this year or any year. That means fitting it to the production bike the 2023 V4R....

Bike has officially launched and is configurable on the website… no mention of this gearbox so bets are it’s not on the production bike.

If it is then that’s a huge marketing fail and knowing the brand I’d argue that’s very unlikely.

Is there a particular reason, why neutral is traditionally between first and second?

Popular answer to that amongst the internets is that…

1. It’s to avoid shifting down all the way to neutral when slowing down and engine braking.

2. To avoid accidental 2nd gear starts by shifting up twice from a stop.

Both seem kinda silly tbh.

P.S. my bikes love second gear starts
