Hey guys, after following the development of the 1199 since it started 1.5 years ago & 10months of forum.
I have finallly decided to bite the bullet & take a bigger loan then i considered, originally gonna purchase end of year.
got my self a Panigale S w/ ABS White.

for the good news i cant wait to share my experience with you guys from blogging in here.
i have already previous test ride the panigale but the experience was only short but great.
not worth mentioning

for the bad news today was meant to be my 1st day of ownership of a Ducati.
i was looking forward so much that i didnt sleep. sadly the weather turn out to be so bad that its raining for the next 2 days.
next pick up date is thursday 28/02.

tell then ride safe

Nice congrats! What made you go for the white? I like the white a lot but i just had to go for red with the duc. Post ASAP!!!!

Plain and simple.
Reasons.
Blank canvas. Looks nice
To match my current gear and number plate
I like different.

Congrats BlueBear! I assume u picked up ur Duke from Ducati Melbourne? I only picked mine up 2 wks ago and the experience was good....... But.... Didn't see ant white 1199s sitting around!

Yep melb city ducati
Well i dont know i was there few weeks ago thats when i saw white s and base

Atm i only see my white s in store so im guesssing other one went

Grats Bear! I'm still dying to see a white one in person. I thought it would be like white they used on the 848 but was told it was different so I'll just have to wait till one of these albino ducs roll around.

If the busa wasn't white I may have had to seriously consider the white duc...but then again, the red is just soooo sexy.

Why didnt you pick it up? the 1199 does surprisingly well in the rain, and even light snow (i know mine does)
color is a personal preference, and i love the white so much that i want to trade my 12 for a 13 (and having ABS would help too)
nice Avatar!

I have a white one so you won't have to wait long to see one. :)

Quick Review

40km home from dealer & 40km short trip.
been great, sound is like a lions raw and im still very nervous from ownership.

i didnt get any upgrade as i wanted it to be raw upon purchase but already notice some upgrades as a MUST.
seat is hard and slippery as hell, my balls hurt from tank slapping and my arse hurts from being so hard.
radiator is very soft and sit very low, so ill need to purchase some radiator guards.
i have no clue where to put my registry sticker so ill try to do some quick research on registry locations on motorcycle.
heat is a lil issue but to be honest if you purchase a race bike with a cylinder under the seat you should of known.
to me still alot betta then the 1198 which gave me burns.
fixes are simply and heat is not even much.
get the DP seat, leather pants, and ride past +70km/h, below -60km/h for more then 10min, youll feel it.

i hope to blog more as parts come thru, until then ride safe.

Nice one B/Bear!

I don't get how our bikes can meet EPA testing for stock exhaust noise? Also the crappy Melbourne weather is annoying....... Avg 32degree week and then suddenly a few Raining days... Where do you get to add the k's throughout the week???

hey r36

i know its a joke but i guess this sits under the same rule as harleys

i ride anywhere really
mostly freeway which is great for this bike, i live far from my parents about 1 hour away freeway, so this will give me the will power to do those trips once a week. thats about 200km

otho i plan to do many trips in my time
around the bay ride days
ducati owners club meets
netrider meets

1st upgrage - evotech performance radiator guards top and bottom

quality - 10
fit - 10
strengh - 10 (one piece)
looks - 10 (honeycomb)
price - 9 ($110 GBP)

this item is great, fits in 20min top and bottom, looks great, design is a alloy plate been press to shape with honeycomb holes. its concurve outwards so it doesn't touch the radiator even with force. really strong.
