I feel that after I got the bike back from the fire that I lost some HP. I weigh 130 lbs wet and I have a base model bike. I have brought up the issue with my tech and they are going to look into it. Anyways... BEFORE the fire here's what it would do... first gear wheelie, second gear wheelie, 3rd gear headshake, 4th gear headshake, all from a lot of power being put to the rear wheel and front end floating, it pulled hard til it hit 186 mph, engine temps fine, no leaks. NOW this is what it does... first gear wheelie, second gear sometimes, 3rd gear no headshake, 4th gear no headshake, tops out around 175 mph and it slowly crawls there from about 160, some kind of liquid spraying against my heat shield on the exhaust probably oil and it looks like a small gasket leak in my top cylinder, and my engine temp RISES after 100 mph instead of cooling. I am not power hungry but it is aggravating when your bike runs one way, then it runs another after being serviced or repaired. I wont rant and blame anyone as I did after the fire, but I do want it to run the way it used to. My guess may be low compression, which they say they tested it after they repaired it and it was fine. But my guess is by what I am seeing in its performance that I have lost 10 to 15 hp. I'll be getting an oil change and having some other warranty issues done tomorrow, so I'll be sure to have them check out the bike thoroughly. I miss my old power!!!
