BTW, I've spent more time on the V4R this past week. Now that I've added some miles I've started to explore the higher rev ranges. It turns out the bike DOES power wheelie :D!

Needs to be ridden very differently than the V4S. But up in the rev ranges it is a manic and ferocious beast. Yet as I mentioned before very docile around town and low in the revs. I've never experienced anything like it. Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde!!

Ooooooooo.......I'm telling!!!:D

Call me mystic 007 lol. As i expected the minute you got it into higher rev ranges the thing turns into a manic animal.

Thats no lil wheelie in that pic either :D

Curious, where all electronics turned off ?
Most importantly glad to see you having a ball out there brother.

Haha!! You were right brother. It requires a different riding style vs the V4S. Need to focus more on which gear you're in to get the most out of the bike. It's plenty fast at any rpm for my skill set but you're absolutely right. Up in the revs it's a ballistic missile!! Engine braking is different up there as well as throttle responsiveness. So again it requires a different mindset and riding style vs the S but in just a couple hundred miles I'm getting the hang of it.

That power wheelie was in second gear. Wheelie control off. Very controllable and I was able to ride it for a while. 105mph is not an issue in second gear!!

For the record I'm not even a wheelie guy either!

:D:D:D

I know you've done worse!! Envisioning a one leg standup wheelie with one hand! :D

As I told 007 I'm not even a wheelie guy! Had to do a little experimenting for comparison/educational purposes only. Doing my part to add helpful content to this forum

Okay, just discovered this thread and now I'm all out of tissues with a sore wrist. Love seeing the RC's. I used to own an NC35 (baby brother of the RC45) and an RC51. Currently riding a '14 Panigale.

I figured the minute you got it into the higher rpm it would start being mental, it would probably do the same in 3rd too.

You've encouraged me to turn off my wheelie control haha. I only have it on 3 and it will pick the tire up in 3rd, hence why im sure yours would be just as mental, if not more so. Then again yours has a whole bunch of other tricks to keep the front wheel down at higher speeds, better electronics, the aero etc

Super glad to see you having a riot wth it.

WHAT A BIKE

Moved some of the bikes to a different storage unit today. Took about 10 of them out for a short ride. Was good to get some fresh ethanol-free fuel in them and allow them to stretch their legs.

This new set up allows for easier access and will hopefully allow me to ride some of them more frequently. I'm amazed at how different in character they all are, but each fun in their own right.

Outside storage is certainly one solution to your problem that many of us dream we could have. lol. But I'd go crazy not being able to wander out into my garage to stare at them. No room to build an addition at home?

I'd lose sleep leavin my prized possessions in a public storage unit. I had a break in at my storage unit I had about 11 years ago and had it for almost 5 years before it got broken into and it was nothing but furniture and boxes of house crap. I'd have to build a shed in the yard somewhere or just buy one of those tough sheds and keep them in there. Probably cheaper in the longrun too and they're in your yard, accessible whenever you get the urge to ride one without havin to go to the storage.

I was actually considering buying a shed to keep my 2 bikes and other stuff since mine sit outside in the backyard under a bike cover but ultimately decided against it because of lack of space.

Yeah it’s not the best solution for sure but this place I found is about 5 minutes from the house. They have power and some insulation. It’s really clean and safe as well. I have 10 bikes in the garage at home so out of room and it allows me to swap out bikes pretty easily so I can make sure they are all ridden at least every month or two.

Wish I had room on the property to build a second garage but no such luck. Even if it were an option there is probably zero chance the wife would go for it! :D

You need a bigger storage for all the new bikes arriving. ;)

Do you know something I don't?! I've got one deal I'm working on but not really a new bike. Or are you just going by past practice :D?

The RSV4 1100 Factory is tempting. Miss my RF already after just a couple of months.

I'd love to go with this option, just don't have the space. We're paying $1500/sqft out here in the bay area without any land so add land and you're talking serious $$$. The bikes are all fully insured and I try to keep the really special ones at the house - although the RC's, Norton, one of the 998R's... shoot they are all special to me.

Oh just going by your excellent habits. Your wife should be proud of you :)

Haha! That's what I told her!! She was having none of it. Not a fan of the cars or bikes unfortunately.

Just do what i do , buy whatever you want and tell her it's for her!

Oh you're not in 69 dodge chargers?
Ah well, guess i'll just drive it lol.

Sucks to hear she doesnt enjoy them. Ah well, cant have it all.
Hope you're keeping well boss.
