Highly doubtful. Beyond the software difference, the new bike is suppose to have more sensors, new dash and many different components. Let's suspend disbelief and presume the EC 2 could be upgraded to EC 3. There would have to be substantial development and testing to make sure it worked correctly. Fortnine did a pretty interesting video about the development behind ABS modules. Way more complicated than you'd think it would be.
