Yes, the high mount is the only shown option for the R.With the R msybe it’s only the high mount did you try that?
Not sure if that logic tracks.. the only reason I say that is I don't need to leave the gear because I'm going from 0-55 in first, 2nd 55-95, (I could almost skip through 2nd with brentune and go right to third to hit 120mph (i dont go much faster than that on roads.) But it's unruly during that process, the bike rips. It's not like with the Deussen I'm getting to higher speeds faster, feels like I'm just shifting more. The Deussen does sound and ride soo clean, but that makes me feel like it's because it's more tame? My brother actually mentioned the sound when I pulled up to the office, he immediately asked if I did something to my bike. The shifting is arguably better, hard to find neutral at times, its almost like its not an audible click, it just winds up there with a super soft tap down from 2nd. Maybe it needs to relearn that part, idk.
Totally against anything I typically care about, but I might time myself on a 1/4 mile with each tune and see if it reveals anything. Do 3 on each and find the average. Maybe have someone else do the same on my bike. Level the results. I am not all about speed on this bike as I don't race it.. cleanliness of the map is important to me, but on a track I think i would want it all right there and let the DWC keep my front in check, not my map.
So you feel the brentune is more violent ? What about exhaust sounds on upshifts compared to each tune . If you could do a sound comparison of the two that would be awesome. Just to see what you’re mentioning about sound being different.
You mention that the cylinder deactivation is gone after the tune; I wonder if the "official" Ducati/Akra upmap also disables the cylinder deactivation?Just got home, mid range has more punch now and it’s breathing easier. Being a holiday Friday weekend and I had to ride in DC traffic to get home, no chance to open it up really. The cylinder deactivation is gone now. Poof. A few pics. You can see the two rear O2 sensors here. No way to tell if it’s got front ones.
