Saw these being talked about a few days ago. Very interesting to see a slick that doesnt need warmers. Im sure there is loads of technology in them so they can warm up to operating temperature but im scratching my head to see how they can do that

Agreed. These take all the work out of running slicks with 90% of the benefits. Will be considering these for next season. From that Bennetts “review” they seem to be the dogs bollocks.

I think if I was going to a track day (never rode on slicks) I think id give them a try first. Proper race slicks can catch the best out

Has the right size (180/60) for 959 and V2 owners on 5.5” wheel. Though, the profile is more akin to a 190/55… allegedly.

I’ll be trying out a set. From what I’ve read, fast Beginner though Advanced could benefit. Super sticky with good feels. Heat up quicker without warmers, no heat cycling issues, and more durable.

My philosophy of track days is keep the bike upright and have fun with lap times the least of my priorities. If you’re bike still has lights, no need to be chasing tenths.

Couldn't agree more.
My V4S has 200/60 - 17 rear so I'll be waiting for their expansion.
The track I'm hitting soon has all Pirelli service. I'm going to try a few and see how they are. I'm not racing this year, just having fun.

Sylvain Guintoli has a good Metzler Racetec TD review on his Youtube. It is for 'members' only so you will need to pay $4/month to see that video, some other good videos for the members only and a bunch about riding techniques. And the best part is he really knows what hes talking about.

His videos are good. He also offers one-on-one analysis of your riding video with data log overlay. Pretty cool service, especially considering he’s a former MotoGP racer and current test rider.
