Removal of Streetfighter headlight unit

I need to remove the whole headlight/instrument binnacle of a V4 Streetfighter. Is it a simple case of unbolting the two lower rubber-mounted bolts and lifting upwards to disengage the two large rubber grommets, and then disconnecting a few electrical connectors? Do I need to disconnect the battery first? I’m fitting a carbon fibre spoiler and it needs a little fettling.
 
Its that easy. There's not a lot holding the headlight assembly to the bike.

It couldn't hurt to disconnect the battery but I don't know if its entirely necessary. The dash connector is the one to be careful with.
