Results of rapidbike evo

I have the Akro EVO system on order with Cycle Pro, due in mid May, I'm also installing the Rapid Bike system with the MWR air filter. Yaman just installed my BST carbons with ceramic bearings yesterday and you won't find anyone who is more detail oriented than the people at Cycle Pro. I am just waiting for the pipe to come off back order so I can feel the difference. I also installed the FIR mirrors on my bike, about 6" shorter than stock, the only difference is that instead of moving my shoulder to see, now I just have to lift my elbow to see, much better looking than the original mirrors. Also I'm looking for some rides in central Florida.

Can i ask what the full akra evo system is going for now? I know the price was getting hiked up a bit so I'm curious.

A lot of people complain of the oem mirrors and not being able to see past their shoulders. They all must have some broad shoulders or very large guys cause I have no problem with the stock mirrors. I tried the lightech carbon mirrors and they were horrible. they looked pretty but no visual of rear at all. I personally am not a fan of the handle bar mirror look. Just not tasteful for me. Goodluck on your bike and post some pics upon completion for us. JeffD is in central Fl and if you guys set up a ride that's not track ill be glad to commute up that way for the day and join you guys.

I have a PCV with autotune and two wide band lamda sensors. It adjusts my afr in real time as I drive and do each cylinder individually. :cool:

I thought you had to connect the PCV to the laptop and then adjust the map trims to what the Auto-Tune reads from the lambda sensors? My bad if that's not how it works.

Does the PCV also have ignition mapping and optimization?

I also have BST cf wheels on my bike and as far as I am aware ceramic bearings are only available for the front wheel. Could you please tell me where the rear wheel's ceramic bearings came from and what does it price at as I would also be interested in changing my rear to ceramic bearings. :cool:

Saw your wheels in the box at Cycle Pro on Tuesday, suhweet! Can't wait to see what the weight is on Yaman's digital scale, he's already weighed my Rotobox RBX2s so I'm curious to see if the numbers match up to those shown by Bellissimoto.

I'll PM you my contact info, I live in Lake Mary and ride west on 46 around Seminole, Lake and Orange County, with what few twisty roads we have there.
 
It went up about $200 and is backordered until 1st week of May as of right now. It said April 18th as of last week, but now it's been bumped out another couple of weeks, so could still change. So now the race to the bottom can begin to see who's willing to list it for sale at the lowest price! ha ha!

P.S. - I'll beat any authorized dealer's price on any Akrapovic product, just PM me and I will hook you up.

The PCV is a unit with two separate units that you can add on:
1) Autotune,which in the case of the Panigale, does separate afr maps for each cylinder individually which can either be saved so that you may instruct it via pc to upload or it can do so in real time as you drive (like mine is set up to do). It makes a map for each cylinder at 10 different throttle openings and makes a map for each gear so if my maths is correct it makes 60 x 2 afr maps in one mapset.
2) Ignition module - I am not quite sure how it works as I do not have one yet.

It is not a dynamic adjustment as "THEY" sold it to you, you have data loggers, which is collecting AFR data as you are riding you constantly have to connect your bike to a Computer and except/adjust / modify changes until you get it perfect. Rapid bike does that and the changes are constantly being applied at the same time.

And to be honest with you , if you are happy with the results , who cares!!!:) enjoy your Panigale my friend....

I respectively beg to differ. I have the choice of real time afr adjustment (as mine has been set up by "them") or can have it formulate maps which I can have installed via pc. Regardless who cares. I am enjoying it. You have fun too... and "them" too... Oh the PCV with autotune had been sold to me by Marco Casciani of RACE! (Kyalami, South Africa) and was installed by Alain of DynoJet: Home. :cool:

I believe the PCV can do it either way. The Bazzaz requires you to connect to a computer. For racing applications most prefer to do it this way anyway. The sensors sometimes go bad and cause the ECU's to make some wacky corrections if left on their own.

And of course I am not arguing with any one here but, PCV AUTO TUNE is a dala logger, the trim map that it creates has to be manualy excepted via usb cable with the computer. Trim map is not applied to the base map automatically. again we sell all of these great products and install+tune. They all work great in general.

and on the Pani with dual Auto tune , how are you managing the O2 sensors, I am just curious ?
 
I'm sorry, but again you are describing the Bazzaz setup. The PCV does indeed trim automatically. Again, it's why club racers are leery of that setup because the sensors fail and typically throw out a really lean signal. Which results in some really crazy ECU trims which can get really ugly. The bazzaz setup is safer in that instance because you have to accept the trims before they are applied. Otherwise you run the risk of not knowing it added +25 to your fuel.

Contact tech support if you really don't believe me.


It does not do anything for the ignition map however.

I really don't care about this new debate. I do however know yaman works in sales of ducati parts and I would go with the word of a man who sells the products daily over one guy who has it installed and makes claims of whatever. Especially coming from someone who just joined forum out of nowhere. You sound like a troll to me.
 
Just joined and trolling? Not that it matters, but I've been a member quite a while.

Facts are facts, you can call their tech support as well. I was merely pointing out an incorrect statement. I have no vested interest either way, though I do enjoy learning about new products etc.
