Hi guys. I just put down a deposit for a brand new Ducati. Waiting for shipment from Italy.

Will have to wait around 2 months. Meanwhile I want to get opinions from riders riding the V2 with a height similar to mine which is 183cm or 6 foot.

How does the ergonomics for our height feels? Is it too much on the wrist or knees?

I'm 6'-3" and have owned a 2014 1199 and currently own a 2020 Streetfighter V4. The 1199 was good once I got a taller windscreen and switched to the comfort seat. The comfort seat was a little higher and gave a more open hip and knee angle.

The big thing with sportbikes to to not ride with your elbows locked and wrists in extension.

getting older but still over 6 foot.

I find the the 'riding triangle' quite comfortable but wish the rear sets where slightly higher when in praying mantis mode.

not a discomfort thing but slightly higher would be more natural for me.

I'm right at 6.3 and find the V2 riding position quite comfy for a sportbike. I plan to add adjustable rears sets, but that's about it. As bp_SFV4 said, I think the most important thing is to make sure you're using your core and not locking your elbows, thus putting a lot of weight on your wrists. Tank grips can really help with this.

You can get adjustable clip ons too

Still look like a monkey ....... a football but who cares

These things are a blast to ride : )

Welcome!

Ergos are good- my biggest issue was my throttle hand going numb from OEM grips- biggest bang for buck is replacing grips with pro grips 717 and adding throttle spacers. I’d have the dealer do that before you take her home.

Comfort seat is on my to get list- for me my ... and thighs start hurting after about 2hrs of riding.

Agree. I’ve also ordered a Kaoko throttle lock. I’m hoping it will help reduce some of the highway fatigue while I make the hour long ride up (and back) to the mountains.

I am 5'11" and I find the bike to be much more comfortable than my 848 was. Mind you, I have only put about 250kms on mine as I picked it up last month and only got 1 decent ride in before the snow came. I did order a comfort seat which is supposed to be 20mm taller than the OEM seat I believe.

I wish the comfort seat was 20mm taller...realistically about 10mm higher toward the front of the seat only...flattening it out considerably. It IS more comfortable than the stock seat, though, and I am glad I have it.

Best,

side by side, it looks like the standard seat has more slope or deeper trough towards the front.

My V2 is more comfortable than the 19 Supersport I had before it. It has a longer cockpit and allows me to stretch out more comfortably.

Don’t spend any money upgrading your bike with carbon fibre bits until you’ve had your suspension set up properly. These bike are set up too stiff from the factory and benefit greatly from a proper damper tune.
Get ahold of Dave Moss and have him send you suspension settings. It will be the best $40 bucks you can spend on your bike.
I think you’ll love it.

Stiff, so pretty good for track riding, or am I wrong? ;)

I agree if you are racing you'll need it a bit firmer than road riding. Then many of us use the brakes and hit the corners pretty hard on some roads.
Having said that -Too stiff is too stiff and regardless suspension tuning up is the most important aspect of setting up your bike.

I know... ;)

First thing I do, adjusting my suspension with a dude who knows what he's doing... Best upgrade ever!

It sure is the best upgrade ever. Way too many peeps spend 1000's on carbon fibre bits and exhausts when they need to be putting time and effort into their dampers.
