Where are all the Rossi haters? All the talk early on seems to have been silenced. Come on out you cowards now and restate your beliefs.

All the talk about him being done seem to be overstated. I have been watching all the racing this year and feel he is as good as any. Ok Mark is over the top and seems impossible to beat, however Rossi has been giving a good fight all year and is ahead of his teammate by some margin. It also appears that Honda is the top dog in the equipment area.

His ride today was stellar coming from pit lane to 5th, maintaining his share of 2nd for the championship. I think he also set fastest lap of the race. Noted than Mark never needed to push too hard given how things played out.

Speaking of that, did anyone notice his bike change. I would guess a second faster than anyone else. Every one else pictured dismounted and remounted while Mark jumped from one horse to the other.

As long as he's kicking Lorenzo's arse I'm happy.

Do you think Lorenzo has already checked out?

Rumors have him going to Honda next year.

The points speak for themselves, Rossi is no where near done, he has adapted to the new style of riding once again, and will be the one most likely to get a win this year. Un fortunate tyre choice this week but pit lane to top 5 is impressive. 35 is NOT old he is the modern day Agostini.

Always Rumors in racing so hard to tell. I think Jorge is having a lot of bad luck and also maybe disillusioned at this point.

Sounds like Mark will stay and not sure if getting rid of Pedrosa is not going to gain anything for Honda IMO and I doubt Jorge is as affordable. Maybe a good move for Jorge but I wonder why Honda would want to make the change?

Pedrosa has had his chance. Honda has been patient enough for him.

Marquez is locked in already. He just signed an extension. No way he's going anywhere for a long time.

I think Lorenzo has still got it. He just needs to find himself. I think it would be terrible for the sport if he pulled a Stoner and bowed out at the end of the year.

Rossi is technically riding JLO's bike and doing it better than him. Anyone noticed that ducati got a 2nd place ?? The duc is awesome in wet conditions - pretty much the only way it will get a podium finish.

Actually no. This year Yamaha has started to develop Rossi's bike following his input, as opposed to last year where he had to ride Jorges spec bike and just make do with his own setup. I think this is why he's doing so much better this year. Jorge has a very different style with his 250cc high corner speed and Im sure most others would struggle to be competitive with his bike.

You clearly didn't see Marquez change bikes. He didn't even touch the ground! And he didn't nearly kill his pit crew member in the process like Vale did!

A Spoiler Alert in the title would have been nice. Unfortunately I read Rossi from pitlane into 5th, JLO further down, Marquez does not crash out.

Round seven was a "Rossi Hater" killer. No rain, no switching bikes, No excuses. Leading and battling for first, not bad for an old has-been.

Nice result for Dovi in Assen, especially when compared with Crutchlow's.

I find it hard to believe anyone could be a "Rossi Hater" the guy bridges the gap from 500GP to the present day,, with 9 GP titles, has constantly reinvented his riding style and adapted to the current flavor of the season bikes. He doesn't do it for money he's made more money than he could spend in multiple lifetimes. He is out performing his teammate, and everyone else on the grid except MM. The guy is out there for the love of the sport, doing what he was born to do, and if anyone else but the KID wins this year, I bet it will be Valie.

+1 - even when the guy isn't racing GP bikes he's out flattracking or riding MX bikes, etc. He truly loves the sport and loves bikes and that's why I'll always dig Rossi.

I think we all know who I was looking for yet he is still in silence. Easy to talk ...., but won't stand behind it.

Come on out so we can pluck your chest hairs one at a time. Wait, maybe he doesn't have any?

maybe it was the weekend pal and i was out riding my bike and had a few dates. sorry i am not looking for rossi posts 24/7.

ok rossi fan boy. where is rossi one place better than last year he is in third well tied for second. pedrosa will finish that as he is running well. so rossi went from no worse than 4th to 3rd place because jlo is a mental case. really? we all know the worst rossi can do no matter what is 4th. Jlo now has rossi in 3rd come on man. dovi has more podiums on the duc than rossi.

dont give me he almost won or he might win a race or anything like that. what has he done the last 4 years. 1 win when all the spanish riders were out or hurt big deal. so he had a couple of seconds but still tied with pedrosa. hes running well but any rider in the field on a factory yamaha would be in the same position. do you think bradl wouldnt be in third or fourth. how about pol? cal?

so just to be clear if marquez was to crash out and not compete and rossi wins the championship you will say he is back? rossi won? thats pathetic. as i said rossi is in the place where he should be since jlo washed out. no better no worse.

better to be a has been than a never was at least rossi is a has been

You guys crack me up. Is it really the rider or the bike or both? What percentage of the bike/rider?

Who wins if Rossi was on the Honda and MM was on the Yamaha?

Don't get me wrong MM is having one hell of a season like Rossi did his first year on a MotoGP Bike (11 wins and 15 podiums in 16 races). MM balls are made out of Titanium but the Honda has a lot to do with it.

I think the question is "can MM sustain at the level he is riding and win 7 MotoGP championships and 10 in all combined to become the best MotoGP rider of all time?

If MM was riding a Ducati we wouldn't be having this discussion.:p

i agree with alot of what you are saying scrapper. my opinion yamaha or honda marquez wins. thats becuase imo his riding style is different than everybody else. kind of like an nfl team that creates something everybody copies and catches up eventually. rossi said himself i have to ride more like marc.

remember last year jlo had 8 wins mm had 6.

we already know the bike makes a huge difference. rossi did nothing on the ducati. dovi is riding it well. does that mean dovi is better than rossi no just means the bike has a lot to do with it.

anywho this post was directed at me. so i am now responding. didnt see it originally.

the question is

is rossi in any better position now than he was last year. the answer is NO.
