Mark - Dovi's on the Pole lol. He may take it.

lol ducati doesnt have a chance in dry weather i dont care if stoner were riding it. the tires arent the same. they get chewed up they are softer than the factory options.

dovi was on the pole for one reason. extra soft tires for a blistering one lap time.

look out here comes JLO 99

Gratz to MM on the 2nd chip.

Jlo did appear not afraid anymore. He was smoking fast. Is he still gonna be at yamaha next year?

Good. I almost made you a MM glory thread Sunday morning after watching the race live. lol.

PS - hit back my pm and let me know when the next ride your way is happening, I'll head up and tag along.

Seriously guys, Mark is so good moto gp became not about who's going to win but who's going to beat Mark !! is it the bike that make him unbeatable or he is just way too good compared to the rest??

put him on the old duc (14.1) :D and we'll see how good he really is

He would run up front with anything competitive, he has introduced a new style, and level of riding that sent everyone scrambeling last year, and the early part of this season, but you can see the other riders catching on now. It happened to Roberts, but not before he won 3 championships in a row, it also took another brash young American kid to beat him, from the same background that Kenny came from.
It's just great to get to watch a phenom like Marquez unfold and develop right on TV where we can watch it.

the problems is that he achieved at his young age what 90% of the riders combined only dream of, he makes being the first so easy and almost pure fun, but you are right, we are watching the next legend live on TV.

Rossi on fire today. Seems that a lot of riders went down in that same left hander.

Rossi absolutely was a better rider than JLo on this race. Started from 8th to 1st. Good job for him and showed some haters that he still has it.

Yeah, MM was ahead but he crashed... that is part of the game to stay on the bike.

part of the game lol race means nothing to MM if you didnt realize he is ALREADY world champ

JLO made the wrong pick for front tire still 2 races left

young R do you play motogp fantasy?

yes - exact same compound. Jorge just happened to get one that just tore up (like it did for Rossi last year). Awesome race.

Rossi made him use his tyres up racing with him, he has vast experience to draw on for his racecraft, and he is still fit enough, and sharp enough at his age to capitalize on it.
That is one of the things so amazing about MM he has racecraft way beyond his years.
For me the race of the weekend was Moto 3, knock down drag out multi bike battle to the end, that entertainment.
I predict Rossi to end up best of the rest, 2nd place at the end of the year, he is in Jorge's head.

If you believe that, then you don't understand racers and racing.

This. The race may mean nothing to his fans, but every racer wants to win every single race. Marquez still has a record that he's chasing this year, so to go down like that when comfortably in the lead likely didn't sit well with him. Of course, he knows that he's champ and that's obviously most important, but he's still riding his butt off with the intention of winning, and not just for ..... 'n giggles.

+1...

Rossi had a faster bike than Jorge, but played him like a fiddle. Jorge fought back hard and Rossi just stuck his front tire on Jorge's rear and made Lorenzo waste his tires trying to keep pace. Brilliant riding by Valentino, IMO.

I'll take the different opinion. JLo has publicly blamed his performance on a "defective" tire from Bridgestone, causing his tire to look much worse off than Rossi's in parc ferme:

Of course they have different riding styles, but JLo is typically a low-key, "do-the-right-thing" kind of guy that IMHO wouldn't pass the blame onto a vendor unless it was true. JLo has beaten Rossi fair and square several times this season so I don't think he's at the point of utter frustration to try and deflect getting beaten by Rossi.
