Safety-wired Valve-cover bolts for 899/1199

Boom... You are the best Urs... I won't be running heat shields on mine once these go on.. Thanks

Update #5: Today I sent the bolt drawings to a manufacturing company in Germany. Making them in Switzerland is to expensive, I already checked :(

A bolt kit would contain 10 screws, Titanium, with enforced heads for proper safety wiring.

Awesome.

Update #6: Okay, crunched all numbers. And unfortunately price for Titanium Grade 5 went up on the global market . I attached some pictures of similar screws to give you an idea how they would look.

If I would go on and let this screws made, I'd buy two kits for myself, so I would need at least 8 other buyers.

A kit would contain 10 screws, Titanium grade 5, rolled outer threads, cutted inner threads in 4 of them.

Price per kit if 8 guys would order: USD 131.-
Price per kit if 18 guys would order: USD 123.-

Plus shipping (I guess that would be approx. plus USD 15.- from Switzerland).

Sorry, I hoped that they could been made way cheaper. Unfortunately there ist no other spot on the Panigale that has these screws except the valve covers.

The screws will not fit on Panis with the new OEM Valve Covers (1299, 1299S, 2015 R).

Delivery would be January 2016.

I also like to mention that it's not a five minute job to get access to the vertical cylinder valve cover....

I'm in. Is there anyway to move the delivery up? My bike is under the knife now. Either way, I want a set.

I'll ask. A little delay is because of the ordering the raw material. When we are enough persons, I'd try to speep-up the process, but I can't make pressure without having ordered something :)

Cool you're in!

Thanks Gecko. I posted this on my FB page to get some interests from guys not on the board.

Gecko: I'm in. Thank you for doing this.
January is fine with me; but, if you have them made earlier, I can do that as well. I'll plan for my bike to have it's 15,000 mile service for early late February and have them installed while it is in for service with everything pulled apart.
Keep us posted.

Let's see whether we get 10 buyers together.

Nice! Urs, next time you need a 3D file, PM me ;)

What is that groove in there? is is a "Sollbruchstelle" ? :D

:) :)
Nope, I thought I add a small "Rille" to help guiding the wire a bit. the holes are 1.1mm to allow thick 1mm safety wire but not weakening the bolt itself.

Thank you for your offer. I do not have any CAD software, so I just draw everything the way it has been done for a century, just using a pencil :(
I have a dozend of things I'd like to replace on the Pani where I have my pencil drawings, but realization fails because of the costs for digitalization, prepping the tools and CNC machining costs.

EDIT: Ahhh, I think you ment the thing after the thread: It's a "Freistich" according DIN 76 (http://www.keller-kalmbach.com/fileadmin/images/web/pdf-dokumente/1-2-Schraubenenden.pdf)
