Urs they look amazing.. No sweat on any delays.. With you we know we get quality and it is always well worth the wait.. Thank you again

Man, another delay? All good. Gecko, you may have to get me a quote for overnight shipping for mine when they are ready. Thanks for taking this on for us.

Dear gents, dear Styler and Ljuice26

Always being honest I'm sorry to tell you that I'm ...... :(

I ordered the bolts from a German company that seemed to be very innovative and professional, also communication was perfect until January. I paid them USD 1160.- in advance for production costs. All bolts have been produced, but halve of them with wrong dimensions.

When confronting them today, they said that they can't deliver before March. So I told them that they don't conform to the initially defined terms.
I'm an engineer: I guess you know what happend... I told them to pay back my money. As a result I received an E-Mail complaining about "being under pressure and an impatient and ungrateful world"...

I am at my wit's end.
I'm really sorry. I'll keep you posted about further developments.

No worries bro. I will have the original bolts put in when the engine is built and I will have to have the engine inspected mid season. So, just keep us in the loop with further developments. Thanks for all your hard work on this.

Damn im sure that .... is stressful, trying to do the right thing & then getting hit with .... after .....Hopefully it gets resolved or u get your money back with out any further stress, again we appreciate the effort.

Don't worry Urs!

But what a ...... company and now someone please tell me how you can make one half right and the other half wrong ? Aren't they running them on CNC machines? And if they're hand made, I mean, how 'bout calipers?

We will be good whenever we get them.

Don't worry about us Urs, we are just happy and very grateful that you have taken the lead and the initiative on these projects, when you are satisfied with the final product, we will be ecstatic about the final result :)))

Hi Gecko
I hope you had a nice trip to Japan, and that your wallet survived the tool shopping :D

Have you heard anything from the manufacturer on the bolts or are they still working on making the correct dimensions?

Hi Mordor
In fact I got my money partially back. No communication since then with this company. This mini-project started really promising, and in the end all what's left is a mess. I am very sorry about this outcome and didn't find the motivation to restart :(

Finding a relieable company in Switzerland or Germany that produces prototypes for a reasonable price becomes almost impossible. Everybody wants the money, but please no labor work.

Now that you asked, I will write a request for an offer to ProBolt tonight. Maybe we get an answer...

Urs,

if you want/allow i'd check with some companies here, (USA), to see what they quote, since that might help with overall shipping cost for everyone. What do you think?

Thanks,

Phil

Just curious... What is the status of this initiative.
Should I consider it dead in the water or active?
If it is active, I probably won't get my bike serviced for a few months. I'm moving to CA in at the end of June with the bike to follow.
I'd just like to know if I should delay the 15,000 mile service until these puppies are ready or if I should proceed when I get my bike out there because the project is dead.
Cheers to Gecko for the initial engineering and piloting the manufacturing and cheers to you Phil if this is still going. I hope so because it is an awesome thing to do for those of us who want this mod.

I hope Gecko that some of the guys who put their hand up for the project have sent you some money to cover what you have lost.

Luckly I got most of the money back from the company I ordered the bolts. So no real loss. Phl has the drawings now. He already did a great job in digitizing it! Maybe he'll find somebody in the US for manufacturing?!

Phil to throw some more support to this project, I am interested in a set for my 2013 1199S bike. Had valve cover gaskets loosen up 2x in three years - this sounds like a solution.
