SBK Exhaust- I’m not desperate but damn

I’m probably the odd man out but I love the loudness of the SBK, cagers hear me coming!!!!

Don't get me wrong I don't mind it being that loud either, I just don't want to deal with the repercussions of it being too loud.

I should note that the video is during a pull with MR12 race gas which makes it burble and pop a lot. When it was on pump gas it didn't do it nearly as often or as loud.

What’s been the average a shop charges to install a slip-on exhaust and tune it? (I don’t have the skill/tools to do it myself)

The Arrow exhaust I ordered finally shipped after being on back order

All in I paid about $1200 parts and labor. Slip on power commander and tune

@Desmo-Duey Did you receive your Arrow exhaust yet? And how much were you looking to get for your SBK? I'm taking delivery of my V2 tomorrow, hopefully, and this would be a nice first mod/addition to the bike.

Looking to get the SBK sp1 euro version for my US version 959, reached out to SBK and they told me I'd have to remove the servo motor and flash the ecu.

Has anyone else had to do that after purchasing the exhuast or am I good to go with a plug an play?

Removing the servo motor and flashing the ECU are very typical things done with an exhaust swap.

You can flash it yourself with a Termi T-800. There are maps available for the SBK exhaust.

If I install a servo buddy, would I still need to flash the ecu?

Likely, yes. The fueling will still be off. The flash will also allow you to unplug the O2 sensors since they can mess with the fueling at closed and part throttle. Its worth it to remove them and plug the holes since you'll have it apart anyway.

I have an SBK exhaust for sale. I sold my 2021 Panigale V2. Asking $500.

Thanks

I'm looking for decat options with out removing the original can on Baylis like a mid pipe, most ppl wants slip on I'm looking for opposite :)) did it for 1260 Enduro I'm very happy with it, If anyone has suggestion love to hear it.

My bike with the SP1 on the dyno. My first time hearing it under load (its winter here for me so I can't take it for a ride). And it's far too loud for me, I might have been ok with it if there was a DB killer for it but I attend some tracks with strict sound restrictions so the last thing I want is to get kicked off track because my exhaust is too loud.

So if anyone is interested my sbk exhaust will be for sale whenever my arrow exhaust arrives.

First few runs of dyno tuning.

Mods;
  • sbk sp1
  • sprint PM127S P08 filter
I forgot to ask which race gas he used in particular but I suspect MR12 but I could be wrong.

He was able to get "Racing EVO" upmap as the base. This is done via bench ecu, he is waiting on some special cables to port everything over on to his handhelds and the tune(s) will be available to the public.

You can keep an eye on his website @ www.https://brentuningmoto.com/ or I'll post up here when its available.

I know I’m a bit late here, but I planned to run the SBK S1 with a P08 filter on my 24 V2. I would be on 93 octane and not M12, which graph would be a closer expectation to see after a tune? Also I noticed in your video it popped and burbled a lot but you say it cause of race gas— but I watched a few flyby videos and it does the same thing. Just for clarification it doesn’t pop and burble as much or as long on 91/93?
