Russian invaded the Donbas, which was part of Ukraine's sovereign territory, in 2014. Russian then flooded it with separatists and citizens as cannon fodder. It's the same thing that's going on now. Not sure why a nation can't defend itself from invasion from another country.

It'd be like if Putin sent troops across the Bering Strait to retake Alaska. You'd be cool with that?

Seems like spreading fake news

Here is such an excellent and succinct message. I dont get how this can be explained simpler than that

Whats funny, lets forget about the Ukraine

@SuperDomestique your reaction is exactly the same as reaction of leftists to Musk finding a lots of corruption schemes in the govt - completely unrelated topic.

Instead of focusing on cutting blatantly corrupt funds, they (leftists) says Musk is a bad guy, paid by Putin and shouldn't be given access to the payment system.

This world is so shiet. No wonder Musk wants to escape to Mars asap.

I find it odd that you find it hard to believe the Russians were behind the separatist movement in Donbas but you find it easy to believe the West are behind basically anything bad. How times have changed. Western politicians are now seen for what they are, but that doesn’t make the opposite side any better.

As Zelensky tried to make clear, you cannot negotiate with Russia. They will only agree to anything when they feel they are in a position of weakness, and when they no longer feel that then any agreements are worth nothing.

Trump’s idea of peace is surrender and the Ukrainian people are, in my experience, extremely patriotic. A deal that says surrender, give up your territory, give up your resources and maybe the war will stop for a while… not really a great deal. Meanwhile, Putin is allowed to profit from bringing war back to Europe. You think he won’t be emboldened by the lack of strength and unity?

This is rich (in the hypocritically laughable sense). Elon is profiting from not only the conflict in Ukraine with Starlink but also bilking the American public with all his tentacles in US govt (Starlink/FAA, SpaceX/NASA/DOD, Tesla/DOD/DOT, etc, etc).

Peace is easily to be had. Putin literally just needs to pull out of Ukraine’s sovereign territory. It’s so simple that your puny brain should be able to understand this. How does this not get into your puny brain?

Just google “musk corruption false” and you’ll read all about it

The first paragraph is true face of you.

As long as its been Soros, profiting on and dividing people across many countries this was okay.

Peace is to be had when the fundamental issues are resolved and Trump fully understands it.

The fundamental issue is that Russia doesn't want NATO expansion to its borders.

I didn't say I didn't believe it, probably yes.
Probably it was a reaction to USAID sponsoring fake resistance in the Ukraine on the back of democratic elections that lead to situation in Donbas.

Joe Rogan and Musk talk about nice in last podcast, very insightful.

As for the rest, you talk about the ideal black and white world.

I'm with Trump and Kaizen Asiedu on this. I rather see less people dying than satisfying some egos.

Zelensky saying he can't negotiate with Putin is a blatant lie too as history have shown.

Ukraine is its own sovereignty and can make its own decisions on whether or not to join NATO. Why should it be up to Russian? You don’t see other countries invading Russia to make them do their bidding. Russia also didn’t invade Finland when they recently joined NATO. Finland would’ve fücked Putin up if that would’ve happened. Finland already bent them over during the Winter War in 39-40.

We’re going to be here for a long time if you think Trump understands anything. Dude is the biggest dummy. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree…

It’s a bit late for that - there are already about four NATO members bordering Russia.

If I was bordering Russia I think I’d want to be in NATO…

Are those countries next if that’s really Putin’s reason for invading?

Maybe it’s not really about that.

Oh come on… The only time Russia will ever negotiate and agree to anything is when they are in a position of weakness, and once they aren’t then anything they agreed to isn’t worth the paper it was written on. How many agreements has Putin made and broken?

There’s a nice video that’s been put together of all the things Putin has said and gone back on - it’s quite long…

I'll paraphrase you

Mexico is its own sovereignty and can make its own decisions on whether or not to join the Russians sphere of influence and station Russian troops on the border. Why should it be up to the US? You don’t see other countries invading the US to make them do their bidding.

You’re right. It shouldn’t. I don’t see the US invading its neighbors or vice versa to dictate their policy. Thanks for making my point.

SD you are an idiot, stop eating crayons and smearing poop on your garage walls. There is no way on gods green earth that the US would permit a Russian funded and trained troop buildup on its border. It would start invading as soon as it felt threatened

Like Pani said it happened in 1961 (not 62) with the Bay of Pigs. The US attempted to invade Cuba via proxy and it escalated things. It was a mistake and failure. Just like Russia invading Ukraine.
