Mine smokes for about 20 seconds when I first start it. Then it stops.
I think the sight glass is poorly positioned and unreliable. You can check the oil with it and it will be well below minimum. Then spins the engine up and run it for 10 seconds, go back 5 minutes later and it's on minimum. So I would be careful about adding oil it maybe doesn't need. That would just make it worse
