Apparently the service tech has to do that part and it’s tied to your actual Vin number
Yep, got to connect it to DDS and the map is locked to the VIN, doesn't matter if it is a demo bike or not, no swapping it to another bike.

Has anyone taken delivery in the US yet? ETA? Please also specify which model.
Thanks!
My bike will be used as the reveal bike, but the dealer said if I want to take it then take it, it's my bike I paid for they can't hold onto it if I don't want them to.I am pretty sure no one in the US will be able to take delivery until after the reveal party.
The person who had the S on order at my dealer was told he would have to leave the bike there for at least a week for viewing before he could take it home. Now that they have a separate demo bike coming the same time and that bike is now up for grabs I was told that if I wanted it I can take delivery as early as Saturday the 3rd.
Most initial S bikes coming are actually going to used as the reveal Bike.

But since it's snowing and -5 degrees, I'll leave it for them lol.

Want to bet?Lol I hear ya but, it's not yours until they deliver it . I guarantee you couldnt take delivery before the reveal party.
Do you even know your VIN yet? If not then you definitely couldn't take delivery LOL. It's not even your bike yet then .
Want to bet?

Like I said, I will leave it there due to the weather. But if you bet me enough to be worth my time, I'll take delivery beforehand.Sure, this is fun"¦ I have nothing to lose LOL.
Put it this way, the only way you can get your bike before the reveal party is if they have more than one S models .

It's funny how some people think they know every dealership inside out.

Lol I'm calm. I'm always calm. Sometimes blamed by my girlfriend for being too unemotional. Perhaps it's hard to convey my zen-like presence through the keyboard. [emoji14]Calm down you're taking this too serious.
I didn't mean to aggravate you by sounding so very matter-of-fact. Lol
I don't know every dealer inside out but I know the probability of you getting your bike before the reveal party is highly unlikely. Especially for dealerships that only have one initial bike coming. Now if you intend on taking delivery then bringing it back for the reveal party then that's a different story.
V1 Moto in Houston posted this on Instagram, looks like V4 has arrived to the US.

Your dealership experience based on long-standing relationship or your business acumenLol I'm calm. I'm always calm. Sometimes blamed by my girlfriend for being too unemotional. Perhaps it's hard to convey my zen-like presence through the keyboard. [emoji14]
I'm just making a point that rules may be different with each dealership, and I trust what my dealership sales, and owner tell me. Especially with the deal they give me on the bike and the parts.
