Anyone down to ride sunday morning? Me and a buddy or two will meet up somewhere near pch around 11a.m. or so. Let me know if anyone wants to meet up.

Yo Yo, Yo. who's going out tomorrow morning brunch time, Mulholland/ 101fwy start point?

I've been ask to set up a ride this Sunday for some of the best twisties and gorgeous scenery in SoCal this Sunday. Meet up around 10 am at the World famous Biker Restaurant Deer lodge and we can discuss how far we want to ride.

Deer Lodge
2261 Maricopa Hwy
Ojai, CA 92023

This road isn't for the faint of hearts so we should ride at the lowest level of the person in our group. Anyone needing to race through the Canyons can go ahead and we will meet up. Our ultimate goal is to enjoy the ride and be safe.

This canyon is unlike Mulholland, There are no cars drifting around turns and showing off on the Snake. Cars are rare. For those who have not been on this road I recommend you take a look at it on Google earth/maps Hwy 33 Ojai to Hwy 166.

PM me or DoubleO if you are interested.

I know it's late notice but I'm planning on riding 395 from the i15 intersection to the 210 and back tomorrow if anyone wants to join.

You guys riding from LA to Ojai or meeting in Ojai? Anyone riding from LA?

I love hwy 33, it's an amazing ride. Couple spots you need to watch out for rocks in the road.

I'm riding from L.A. West L.A. to be exact. I'm right by Palms Middle School if either of you are familiar. We could meet up somewhere and ride out to Ojai. I don't know where I'm going so some assistance would be great.

Are we doing this?

Just wanted to say thanks to Lardawge, his buddy (not on this forum) and ScrapperX for a long but awesome day of riding. Very cool group of guys who weren't arrogant and cocky about their abilities. Just out to enjoy a safe day of riding. This was my first time riding Ojai and the ride was amazing. Long sweeping turns, breathtaking views (which can be overwhelming and distracting while riding) not too many cars to worry about and certain parts with longgggg straights to open it up. Some blind turns as well as turns without guard rails so I'd be lying if I said I wasn't spooked a few times but I let Lardawge and his buddy disappear in the lead while ScrapperX was nice enough to stay behind me to keep an eye out even though I know I was holding him up. Much appreciated. Definitely hope to do this ride again some time and I will mention this to some buddies as well to see if they want to join.

On a side note, as we turned around and made our way back into the twisties, I noticed a sign that said "next gas station 40 miles." Maybe 5 miles past that point, my gas light came on and I said fawkkk!! I kicked the bike into 4th gear while cruisin at around 40-45mph all the way back and I for sure thought I was going to run out of fuel somewhere. Fortunately I had ScrapperX behind me and he didn't try to blow right by me since I was going so slow. 33 miles later, I was able to make it back to the Deer Lodge where Lardawge and his buddy had been waiting for about 15 minutes. We rode to the near by gas station and filled up and I separated from them and came home. All in all, 265 miles of riding today which is by far the longest I've ever ridden in one day. To my surprise, it wasn't too uncomfortable on the race seat in full leathers. My wrists were a tad bothered but nothing bad. All in all, a great day.

If anyone is curious about how long you can ride with the gas light on, I'm not sure how much more I had in the tank but I was able to squeeze almost 34 miles while cruising below 4k rpm's. Maybe had a few more miles in it but dunno.

Thanks again fellas. Good times.

Wish I could've joined you guys, on sat I hit a small rock slide on the 2, took some minor damage to the lower right fairing. Behold later that day realized I developed an oil leak. Hopefully next time I'll be able to join.

Didn't mind staying behind you to keep and eye out as I know this is a pretty tough ride for someone's first time going through 33. I've seen too many people low slide off the canyon like that person did at the top yesterday and it could take some time to before someone finds you. Glad you had fun and you guys are great to ride with. That White Pani of yours looks really good. The pictures really doesn't do it justice, Awesome and tasteful bike you have.

Sorry to hear that but I am glad you're ok. Maybe next you could join us.
