Just thought I'd wet ur whistles with some photos of the base in race trim and finally run in, the S in the back ground waiting for its turn and my race team mate with our RSV4 Factory setting up for WSBK...

Well, it's! Excuse my language, "....... fast" I've just fitted the "New" Pirelli SC1 and ran a 1.37' a second and a half faster than the R1' the forks feel great, love the Penske shock, drive is excellent, zero squat and wheel spin on the edge of the tyre only...

My R1 has an honest 208 bhp at the rear wheel on a slick, it's an ex factory bike and is fully sorted, I've got a base setting that is giving me a consistent second a lap over the R1.

Take a look at our photos from yesterday and later today on

"New" SC1 is the 200/60 for WSBK, good grip, the new surface is extra corse, good for grip, bad for tyre life...

What brand race bodywork is that on the 1199? I like how the rear is a one piece, seen a lot that the middle is separate from the sides.

Fresh paint, waiting for them to turn up, fitting before WSBK

Hey Bowdy...question...your fuel tank kinda looks different...a bit more enlarged looking? I say this cos your fuel cap seems to be indented lower than the standard fuel cap height. Is this a fiberglass cover over your fuel tank?

Miguel

Yes, the race kit I use has larger air intakes and a tank cover, the cover takes in the black plastic surround where the ignition switch is, this makes the tank look like a Desmo tank, I've used flame restatement felt to line the tank cover and reinforced the cover with carbon and Kevlar to protect the tank in a crash. It won't totally stop denting but will reduce the risk of holes due to abrasion.

Also looks good because the upper fairing clips in to the tank cover. Fitting was time consuming but the result was first class, carbon fairings are a bit expensive but worth the weight loss...

Hope this helps

so did i get that right, tank cover is self made, so are the fairings?

any plans on bringing the tank cover to the market?

thx phil
