Those red Ducati stands don’t really work with the black and silver bike… This is obviously a serious issue, but fortunately there’s a simple solution!

So when I order the Pierobon stands is it worth getting the rear STK subframe while I’m at it? I believe it’s a simple swap of the OEM subframe using the same fittings and saves a decent amount of weight?

Simple install I guess? It looks like it’s simply a case of swapping the OEM parts onto the subframe and bolting it on. Any complications or things to be aware of when doing it?

Install is simple but geometry tuning is not. Unless you have a tool as on above photo and knowledge what to tune, you can easily ruin your trackday and even more crash.
If you're serious about changing swing arm, I would at least hire a suspension guy to be with you one day to set it up

I’m talking about the rear subframe - not the swingarm. 🤣

So the Spider upper triple for V4 isn’t for all V4. After checking part numbers it seems that the SP, SP2 and 2023 V4R use a shorter ring nut and so the one I got is no good. Spider are an excellent Company to deal with though - they had confirmed by email that it would work and then admitted an error and that it would not work with my V4R and they are happy to take it back for a full refund, regardless of some marks on the inside of the centre hole from installation. Nice products as well and it’s a shame they don’t make one for the V4R.

I’m using their 42mm offset clip-ons with the OEM upper triple - they are a few mm lower than standard due to the locating lug on the upper triple but I don’t see how that would really make any difference.

The DP brake lever guard doesn’t seem to want to fit in the bars so I’ve ordered one from Spider.

So far I’ve got the clip-ons fitted, grips (not much fun getting that on the clutch side due to the knurled bar end) and steering damper support, along with the Jetprime throttle and switches. Quite straightforward in the end.

I’ll pop the clutch master cylinder on tomorrow and then fit and bleed the new master cylinder. I’ll probably put the Z04 pads in as well. I believe that bedding them in is a case of taking it easy for the first session, letting them cool down and then they should be good to go? Let me know if there’s anything I should know (no idea if these should be bedded in any differently to the OEM pads).

3 days at Brno the weekend after this one and then back to Most for 3 more days the following weekend. Can’t wait!

That sounds about what I did. I swap between OEM for street and Z04 for track and it takes a few good pulls to get them bedded in. Give the rotors a good scrub with some scotch brite when you change pads to clear any previous residue as best you can

Someone had told me to take it easy for the first session, let them cool down and then they are good to go.

You reckon one lap and then they are good to go?

When bike on stands, make sure you press brake lever enough times to stop the wheel.
Once you go out, you can brake few times along the pit lane (just make sure no people behind)
One lap after that at 80% of pace is more than enough.
