Some track day prep questions

When bike on stands, make sure you press brake lever enough times to stop the wheel.
Once you go out, you can brake few times along the pit lane (just make sure no people behind)
One lap after that at 80% of pace is more than enough.

Great. 👍

I spun the wheel and grabbed the brake a few times when I fitted them.

It seems the Jetprime span adjuster for Brembo brakes isn’t for all Brembo brakes… It doesn’t fit on the billet brake. I’m developing a nice list of things that don’t work.

I would love one of those 90° types to make the routing simpler but the price is a bit much… Brembo prices are crazy. Maybe the Accossato would work or I just route the cable the long way around using a different one.

Spider refunded before I’d even sent the upper triple back and provided free return shipping. Excellent Company.

Can’t wait to get back to Brno this coming weekend. Hopefully the forecast holds.

I can’t understand why all these non compatible bits I keep ordering don’t work together … 🤷🏼‍♂️

You mean the bits that I ordered after they told me by email that they would work?

Do you think I got an immediate refund, apology and free return shipping because I made a mistake?

I have Spider adjuster, it works fine with OEM brake MC.

I think that might also work fine with my billet MC. From my experience with Spider so far I think they make some really nice stuff. They are a really responsive and helpful Company to deal with as well.

Unfortunately I bought the Jetprime one that is for Brembo MCs - but not my Brembo MC apparently. They do two of them - the other says it is for ‘radial’ MC. I guess that might work with my MC. It would be handy if their description was a bit more specific.

I’m tempted to go for the Accossato 90-degree one as it would work better for routing of the cable - my adjuster comes out of the front rather than the side of the lever. I’m not working to a particular budget but over 200 Euros seems a bit strong for this (better than the Brembo at over 700 Euros though). Or I can just get the TWM one that I know will work and route it down and around the forks.

A remote span adjuster isn’t an essential or particularly important and I could quite easily live without it for 20-minute track sessions. This is not a particularly important issue.. 🤣

If you have brake fade after 20 min session at trackday pace, you've got bigger problems. Also adds weight an complexity.

All you need for trackday braking system is stock setup plus Endless fluid and Z04 pads. No brake fade whatsoever and lever is hard as an 17 yo at prom. Easy as

What on earth does this .... think he adds to the forum. 🤷‍♂️ Nothing but constant ..... and trolling. 🫣

Utter BS about a 16mm MC lever with 30mm caliper pistons feeling hard.

Idiot.

Rain, rain, more rain…

The 19x18 is resulting in me slowing down too much. Feel is ok but I think there’s a lack of modulation. Long and light on the brakes isn’t as easy to achieve. I think I’ll get a 17 RCS and be done with it.
