Relative to where I live with all the fat folks and tasteless plastic food you all live in police states. I met a german guy (he designed the industrial roasters for starbucks coffee) he swore when he was riding somewhere in Scandinavia on a speed triple and got stopped for going 200 Km that not only did they jail and fine him, they took his bike and crushed it (and his buddies which they caught too). I've been stopped like that and simply cut loose with a lecture.

totally.

a friend got done doing 120 in 80 where limits are variable, he missed the change and got flashed. 70k fine, 20k cash rest is suspended for 3 years.

another mate was driving from Italy back home to the UK in Porsche 911. Got "please come back to serve a mandatory jail sentence" letter a month after. But fella is wild.

You need to check your geography then. The Czech Republic is absolutely Central Europe.

Prague is called the heart of Europe for a reason.

Lets see who's wikipedia is more accurate.

Oil on turns 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6, from entry to exit, and they perhaps haven’t managed to clean all of it because I just saw what was a lovely 748 go down in front of me and he was outside the oil line.

Lots of this yesterday as well according to the organiser’s app.

It’s also nice that we have two world-class circuits. Remind me how many you have where you live?

I think I'm within a one day driving distance of ? Laguna Seca, Willow Springs, Thunderhill, Sonoma, Buttonwillow, Utah Motorsports. Some others probably but I'm old and my mind is feeble. 3 days to COTA. I've been on most of the above but not COTA. It looks really fun. If it wasn't for all the fat folks and plastic food...

A true PIA. You still have tomorrow right? Maybe they'll get it all gone by tomorrow.

It is. I’m basically spending the first third of the lap off the racing line and going painfully slowly. I saw the guy on the 748 go down – the front just went and he wasn’t on top of the oil line. That’s probably made me more cautious than I might need to be but that guy’s weekend was finished and I’d rather stay upright and try again tomorrow. Hopefully it will have all been cleared up.

I’m surprised I’m only three seconds slower than my best considering how slow it feels. On the plus side, there’s no doubt that a much better lap time is easily possible.

Turn 1 there was a line right, right in to the kerb on the inside stay tight so you didn’t cross it ….

The oil line on turn one starts quite wide but then cuts in and stays tight all the way to the exit when it comes out quite sharply toward turn two. I basically had to go in very wide, staying outside the line and not able to cut in tight on the exit, so you can’t straight line over the curb so easily at turn two.

For turn three, it’s on the braking line, so you’re braking closer to the middle of the track and then having to turn in tight, but then you have to stay wide on turn 4 to avoid the oil.

Turn 5 and 6 have to be taken wide so you end up entering turn 7 very tight.

After that it’s fine…

Such fun!

As an aside, I usually pop it into neutral as I am coming into the pits and today this seemed impossible to find. It could be my imagination but it also sounds like there is a bit more of a clunk when I put it into first.

Should I bleed the clutch lever – possible reason?

I guess I also need to check the clutch? I’m probably getting close to 3000 km, with 2000 of those on track.

I was hoping STM would bring out some clutch plates before I had to pay Ducati price. I think I saw it mentioned that there is a different tool for this clutch as well.

Get in the habit of tying off the brake and clutch between sessions. Tie wraps work good. Then the feel remains the same session to session.
