A perfect laboratory example of riders who cannot ride without massive computer intervention, and a real rider who doe's not need a computer to save his tires. It will be fun to see how pouty face gets on with the Ducati.

Computers have nothing to do with it. I am no Jlo fan, and I love seeing Rossi win. Rossi ro Any Ducati rider. I said before the season that the Michelin tires were going to be an issue and they are. Listening to the live post presser, all the riders were having issues on straight with the tires spinning. Not being able to go 100% of the throttle on the straight is huge IMO. The tires are ..... They aren't running times that are equal to the times last year on the Bstones. I'm not a Jorge fan, but I want to see the best at their best, not half assing it because of shoddy equipment. Michelin needs to get their .... together.

Also, Michelin admitted that the tires have an advantage for some and a disadvantage for others. For example, Predrosa is at a disadvantage because he is a lighter rider and doesn't get the same grip because of the tire pressures that Michelin recommends. Riding style is another thing that hampers performance. The track was hotter than all the practice sessions, so that plays a factor as well.

Great job by Rossi, but if you arent confirmable on the bike, you aren't going to ride up to your potential.

Everybody struggled with tires. Jerez is notoriously difficult to get the tire strategy right at. Rossi has 10 years more experience than the next one on the grid. Hell, Marquez started riding about the time Rossi last won a title... Ofcourse he'll win when the race is dictated by tire strategy alone. And by race, in this case, I mean a boring ceremonial procession..

Jlo got off the bike with a temper tantrum blaming the bike and yelling at his crew. Sorry example of a pro rider. Hopefully Ducati changes their minds

I wouldn't call it a tantrum. More like disappointment that the tires are too damn hard. I am waiting to read that the tires ruined Dovi's race.

Thats another thing. The tires are making guys not able to finish the race. Everyone is commenting on Jlo crying, but they are getting paid millions to finish #1 and because of ...... tires, they cant. It's also a safety issue. Look at when Baz was testing and had an off at 150MPH plus. Everyone needs to quit with the crying .... and look at it objectively. Because everyone has a bad opinion of Jlo, they let their disdain for the guy effect there opinions....

I agree and I don't. Yes the tires are ...., and dangerous. But if Jlo is such a great rider and I think lately he is the best rider out of anyone, why can Rossi make due and he can't?... Because he needs perfect trax conditions, tire conditions and weather conditions. Everyone saying Rossi I washed up, but like someone else said, he's got the experience. And can adapt. Let's put these guys on bikes without rider aids, I bet no one could hold a candle to Rossi. Look who's the best rider in the rain?.... Why because he doesn't need electronics.

Jlo's actions are why people have a bad opinion of him. Everyone has the same tires to work with yet he comes out to the press saying the race pace was slow at the start and if it wasn't for his issue he would have won by a long shot. He just can't take defeat and honestly can't say that he just didn't have his best day. Look at MM's professional response after the race. That's how a true champion should speak and not like the whinny little bitch he is.

Heh.. I'd wait a few more races before I'll declare "he's back". This wasn't a race, it was a mid 2000's F1-esque procession.. With tires going off left, right and center, ofcourse the guy with 10 years more experience than the rest will win. Before this, it's been 8 months since his last race win...

Everyone wants to see a gracious loser. But, it's rare to not show emotion. Jorge is no Kimi Raikkonen! He got beat and believes it was the tires that stopped him from challenging for a win. Of course, he's salty!

First rossi won A race big deal he wins 2 a year. Second let's look at standings before we start the congratulations. Third stats don't lie rossi is Avg at best. I will post the stats for you Tues going to the track now.

You will get no argument from me in regards to Rossi being one of the best in the rain or any condition. As far as electronics go, they make everyone faster. ...., turn the electronics off the bikes we ride on the street and 50% of this board would be dead, because they cant ride without them. How many of the guys that have tracked their 1199/899/1299/R/959 have turned off the TC and ABS and ran their normal pace? I'd say less than 10%. There is a reason for that.

. He was out classed from the start he was never going to win when Rossi put in a flawless performance that's the view I got from my seat .
Some people are true champions some just ride a bike fast .

C'mon buddy! You know I love how you poke the fire but if Rossi is Avg at best then the rest of the field is way below Avg until they surpass Rossi in his career achievements.

Good luck at the track!

Thanks career achievements is because of longevity. Statistically although not a good sample size mm wins 40 % of the races he enters at the gp level

Ok a little long but numbers don't lie
Rossi has been fed from silver spoons since the beginning. The best equipment. Fellow racers who pull off the line - in advance, so that he may easily pass them. F.I.M. "rules" that apply to everyone else - not him.
And yet... he whine's like a spoiled rich kid when relegated to the rest of the pack. Whhen his "endless" talent inevitably runs out atop a Ducati... Or when Stoner, Lorenzo or Marquez don't bow to his "kingdom".
113 wins. Yeah, if you combine EVERY WIN EVER. But to be fair, let's compare MotoGP apples to apples.
Rossi: 2002-present. 242 starts, but only 74 wins. That's 30.5%.
Plus he's achieved 154 podiums, 48 poles and garned 4013 pts.
Stoner: 2006-2012. He's won 38 out of 115 races, dead on 33%.
Plus he achieved 69 podiums, 39 poles and earned 1815 pts.
Jorge: 2008-present. Out of 138 starts he won 41 times. That's 29.7% of all the races he contested.
Plus he achieved 97 podiums, 35 poles, and earned 2367 pts.
Marquez: Just 2013-present. Out of JUST 57 starts he's won 26 times!!... Which equates to winning 45.6% of all races he's entered.
Plus he achieved 42 podiums, 32 poles and earned 1004 pts.
The numbers don't add up. Sure he's been in MotoGP a long time, but that doesn't make him great. His record doesn't prove it either. When you take into account all of his childishness, rule-breaking and threats if he doesn't have the best of everything, and top it all off with his pompous "I can do anything" attitude - except ride a Ducati, you find out that, at best - he's nothing more than average.
