Stupid or lucky?

Why not both? "Lean and believe" would probably have gotten him back in his lane, shiny-side up.

Could'a used some brakes once he realized he was going too fast, sounded like he only let off the throttle. And then he was smart not to hit the car...Also might have helped if he knew the corner

Overall, unlucky that the car was there at that time...

Stupid AND lucky for sure. Lucky he didn't kill himself and lucky he didn't hurt the people in the car with a head-on. I have little sympathy for n00bs going too fast into corners and then going wide... people other than the rider get hurt that way.

And certainly a n00b - not just for the high corner-entry speed, but also for failure to be prepared for decreasing radius turn, AND to make the classic n00b mistake (admittedly instinctual until you train yourself to override it) of slowing down as opposed to speeding up to hold the line.

Overtaking on unbroken white lines
Classic left hand bend error that claims so many inexperienced lives.
To high a gear, too much speed probably touched the brakes and stood the bike up
Poor judgement
