So thinking on going with the BASE, instead of the S

I know OHLINS is the popular brand

but also have heard there are other options like

MUPO
K-TECH
BITUBO

what do you guys recomend ?

Also what model? For example Complete FORKS, like the OHLINS RT

And TTX GP

Fastest guy I’ve ever witnessed on a v4 was on K-Tech
and he says it’s a lot better than Ohlins. He’s pro level fast. When he’s out I get my tow from him….Not saying the suspension makes him fast, he’s got much bigger balls than I do and isn’t afraid at all to go full send into any corner or get the back end squirrelly braking at the end of a straight. Following him is crazy.

The reason I’d stay Ohlins is the wide availability of parts and servicing options. I guess it depends on how comfy you are doing work yourself possibly. Triples would probably have to be replaced too.

I’ve heard the same - that k-tech is possibly better than Ohlins, but it’s likely that available options from any of the manufacturers are competitive with the others in their respective tiers. Mupo alone is offering a through-rod fork to consumers though (to my understanding).

@RODOLFO After a 1299S, I switched to a V4 Standard.
Other rims, converted to TTX shock and modified the Shwoa fork.
Complementing your list, Andreani also offers good opportunities.
But as @brad8266 wrote, the biggest advantage of Öhlins is that there is a specialist at every corner. Like Microsoft.

Go with who you can get support locally from. Lots of Ohlins service centers all around europe for me, so its easy to get help if I need it, cheap to service and rebuild. $150 for Ohlins forks service here, new fork seals and oil.

It’s all preference. Ohlins is good because it’s good stuff and has lots of support. K-tech is even better made (harder anodizing) but doesn’t have as much support in the States. K-tech is also more expensive.

Ohlins cartridge kit and TTX shock is good enough for 90% of people and applications.
