Suter 500cc V4 Gp Bike FS to Public

without question, this is a really cool piece of engineering.

I am biased - my first full-sized motorcycle was an Aprilia RS250 (I lived overseas at the time, where they are easy to find). I figured, how hard can it be? it's only 250cc.

Someday, after I can truly control 100% of a 200hp superbike, I might feel I have the skillset to ride an RS250 again :p

My first full sized bike was a Suzuki 750 two stoke triple with proper expansions, a three quarter fairing and De Tomaselli clip ons. As she was pre power valve she was a monster.

Today is a good day :) :)
Very cool, I was at SuterRacing's headquarter in Switzerland and one of their engineers took two hours time to anwer every stupid question I had! I was allowed to walk in their production and assembly facilities (And even my Tri was parked on this holy ground (for the clutch: I'll write about it in another thread). Jeeezez, I've never saw so many engines and titanium parts on one spot :)
Also I was kindly allowed to take pictures of their newly released MMX500. But no pictures of Moto2 parts in the same room :)

@Claymore: They do not have yet a lot of sales material. I've got a tiny little flyer for you. SuterRacing seems to be a traditional swiss company where qualtity counts more than papers.

@All: There are not much electronic aids. The final product will have traction control, that's it.

The main difference between the old 2 stroke 500ccm monsters and this new beast lays in the fuel injection. Must have been a PITA in the good old days to prep the carburators before the race: temperature, humidity, everything was relevant. Much of the aggresive 2 stroke engine can now be controlled with proper fuel injection. But it's still a beast :D

All main parts are constructed and produced by themself (including the engine of course). Fairings and tank are carbon fiber, frame and swingarm are aluminium, wheels magnesium.

I am lost, I am in love!

Gecko Bro the Suter 500 will be road legal (come with lights etc)?

Nope, pure racing bike :(
Goal is 125 to 129kg. They planned to produce 99 pieces.
I guess their customers will be collectors and gentlmen's GP500 riders.

Drat the other 500 rep that was on here is streetable (Nachos or something). I want one and will probably buy one next year, but I need mine to be streetable. It does not need better manners or anything, but it needs lights and flickers as I will ride mine on the street. You recon Suter can do that?

I'll ask them. But I guess it won't be homologated, no Euro X Bla stuff, just a torch light at the front and a grave yard candle at the rear :)

I will use it in South Africa so that would be fine. It will be my daily commute when I am in country. The Dragon Lady would be able to take a breather.
