Extreme creations. 16/104 Old Pittwater Rd. You might have to google his number.
Nice fella that does only custom work. Not sure if he has more as it it’s not like a specific item he carries but you could certainly try.
What suburb are you in?

Thanks mate - I'm up in Gordon, not far. Do let me know next time you plan a track day or decent ride, be nice to meet another V4S owner & compare notes

Very close to Hornsby then. Have you been in to see Wayne from Tuneboy about a tune?

He said he can do a custom Dyno tune for $900 for the 18/19 Models.

I was going to pop past for a chat with him but have not had time. I have emailed him but he takes weeks to respond and my last email asking about what happens to the Evo2 software when he does his tune went unanswered from a couple of weeks ago.

It was tricky to find where his workshop is as there was no obvious address on his website and after some google stalking I think I have his current address.

Sorry I haven't heard of Wayne from Tuneboy, but would be happy to pop in there with you if you plan to visit ? Let me know if so, I'm close by and the schedule is pretty open, thanks COVID

also got this message from UpMap re : the EVO-2 ECU update :

Hi,
it can update without problems, after reinstall our map.
Best regards,
UpMap.

They don't give a lot of detail but at least that sounds positive

Just ordered some plugs for the o2 sensors m12x1.25 dealer measured them gonna give it a shot see how it works out without the sensors

I’m tight for work right now but given how close you are maybe you go to do swing by.
From what I can tell he is here.

FYI : I asked the Upmap people about getting the EVO2 update and this is what they said :

#############

Thanks folks,

I'm also considering the EVO-2 ECU update from Ducati. Will the T-800 work with this ? Or not.

If it does work with it, how exactly would I perform the mapping, would it be :

- restore the stock ECU map via T-800
- take bike to dealer and have them apply the EVO-2 software update
- reinstall the T-800 exhaust map

Is this correct? Or are there any problems with this ?

Thank you

Hi Robert,

Yes, This is correct procedure.

Best regards,

UpMap.

This is what i did. Although the evo2 dash and traction enhancements were not overwritten, I'm positive the quickshifter enhancements were overwritten.

If you do this, run just the factory evo2 for a while like I did so you get used to the shifting. Then apply the T800 and let us know if the shifting degrades. Maybe my experience was just a fluke.

would that be the same size plug that fits a 2019 panigale v4 ?
I would think so just double check with your dealer when I get my bike back from the dealer I will ask them and post it up here. It’s in the dealer due to a cracked cluster they’re trying to warranty it for me oh and it cracked in its own lol

thank you sir

Yes my cluster cracked too - someone mentioned that they do that if left out in the sun ??? WTF

My bike is at the dealer waiting on a response also had them check the tank as fuel sprayed out on me at high speed when I let go of the throttle and that was after they did the gas cap recall hope it all gets sorted out I’ll let you know how it turns out hopefully they warranty the cluster

Just so I’m clear....

Closed loop is using the O2 sensors and adjusting the fueling according to the real-time AFR

Open loop removes the O2 sensors from the picture and purely relies on the map which does not account for environmental factors such as temperature and altitude.

I can’t understand why you would want to run a system that didn’t adjust for the here and now environment.

I’m in a bit of a flap as I have a track day at the end of the month and need my bike somewhat sorted before I thrash the .... out of it. [emoji848]

to put it bluntly narrow band sucks, when the day comes that we get wideband like all modern day cars, and the 2020s1000rr does btw.The days of worrying about changing the tune for what area I’m in will be long over

I’m in the same spot as the rest of y’all, i have arrow pipes on the way and i can’t figure out what I’m going to do for a flash. I really don’t like the idea of deleting the 02 sensors at all, now you could leave them in but any fueling changes the upmap commands would be null after a few miles. My dealer told me that’ll give me the akro tune, worst case upmap, best case akro map, and down the road brentuning

Well good news is Ducati warrantied the dash waiting for them to replace it now when I pick up the bike I am going to remove the o2 sensors plug the holes as I already ordered the plugs and reset the map and see how it works out
