Anyone running with tank pads or have any recommendations? I’ve seen two viable options- R & G, lower cost but might lack longevity and Tech Spec- double the price of R & G.

I should probably start a thread on must have upgrades for the Pani.

Really happy how the tech specs snake skins turned out.

Anyone also running these or just the pads on the tank? Don’t know how I feel about adding them on the black plastic.

Ive got the snake skins. Ive always been happy with their products. However since I bought the Ducati Im on the fence about applying them strictly due to aesthetic reasons. I find this bike isnt terrible hard to grip. How much of a difference are grips on this V2?

I’ve found them very helpful, especially on hard roads, larger bumps, and getting into turns. Added bonus it’s saves your tanks from scratching.

My first thought was man don’t .... this up. I’m shocked how well the bike looks with them on.

Also adding carbon tank and tail sliders, front/back bobbers, new grips, and lever guards.

A decently modded V2 will have character

What are people's thoughts only black vs clear pads? Can't decide what I want for mine, does the clear look cheap or ugly?

clears at first are fine with your bike’s paint-job shining through (somewhat). they will look ugly over time. all clears I used over the years turn brown/yellow-ish collecting oil and exposed to UV. Even the ones from solid brands like Stompgrip. I used to install clears on my trackbike, since it’s not a beauty contest and they were on sale.
For our roadbikes we go black (and ‘never’ turn back ;)).

Functionally most types/brands do a great job providing better grip especially when braking hard but also keeping you up/ less fatiguing while touring. The ones with the roughest/ most pronounced textures are best for racing to hold on to, but ruin your leathers.

Check out Verdict on tank pads for the V4 for more info

black all the way. Clear looks .......
What pads have you got on there?
I was leaning towards black and that's what I had on my previous bike. Always see clear everywhere too and was wondering if there was something I didn't know about them. Turns out no, black it is

Tech spec snake skins- highly recommend

Nah that is because race gas melts them, you haven't lived until you have poured a 5 gall VP drum straight to the tank with no funnel !!!
