Mine has the full Termi with the upmap installed, Just got the unit back from our local RapidBike retailer who has flashed it for the 959.
He told me it would be better to have the ECU without the upmap saying it may struggle little tuning itself.

To get the UCU flashed back to stock from a dealer (about 200km away) will be a task.

Has anyone fitted a RapidBike EVO with the upmap and let it auto tune?

Thankyou

It won't struggle. It's a device that auto corrects so I don't see how having the upmap would make it more difficult to correct. Don't bother removing the upmap.

I have 1199S with full exhaust , termi upmap and EVO system. Let it run with the upmap installed. You'll be glad you did.

From everything I've read about Rapidbike I'd go ahead and install it with the upmap. The bike runs better with the upmap than the stock map so the auto tune shouldn't have to work as hard on the initial corrections.

There are different base tunes the rapidbike can be programed with to get into the correct ballpark so it won't "struggle" base map, slip on upmap and full upmap.. not sure if the 959 has the multiple maps from rapidbike though.

I just removed my RB harness from the donor bike which I had behind the radiator, I had forgot what a hassle it was in that location and had the module on the inner guard.
Any other options for placement of the harness?

And it would go well without. If it's already there, I wouldn't change anything. I'm just saying you won't see an improvement using it vs not. If you want to really get serious about your fueling like I did, supplement your RB Race module with:

You Tune | Rapid Bike adaptive fuel injection tuning for all sport bikes. (Adds LC and I like montitoring my AFR's in real time while riding)

My Tuning Bike: CAN-BUS auto tuning module | Rapid Bike adaptive fuel injection tuning for all sport bikes. (You'll need two of these. Then you will have a true auto-tune setup.

It's a bit embarrassing what I have in fuel management alone.

It is a bit of a cluster though. Whatever weight I lost with the full Akra, Ti bits, carbon, 520 kit etc, probably just offset this mess.

It's not on yet I've ripped it out of the 899 to do so. I might take your advice and just run it with the Akra upmap.

Anyone in Australia want a RapidBike Evo flashed for a 959 :)

whatever you add in weight will then again easily be offset with the smoothest running and most balanced engine characteristics and power you have seen on this bike... ;)

you can't sell the up map for a 959/1299. they are a one time use code. might as well keep it

I just purchased a RapideBike unit. Looking forward to smoothing-out the surge in race mode.

Without reading all the post from everyone, take the up map off the upmap exhaust sold with the akras exhaust are a bunch of BS!!!! it just so the dealer can make more money of the consumer. Rapid Bike or Flash your bike man with a good exhaust that's it.

this is a wild thread, he said he has a full term system not akras. If your bike already has the termi full system up map on it ther is no need to install a rapid bike. Use that money towards something else.
