The Dreaded RED Engine! light comes ON

HELP needed

Just switched my 1199s on to warm her up to be greeted with a RED box with ENGINE! written in on the Dash , it did start eventually but sounds different and smells like its running rich.

Any advice ?

Probably a faulty sensor or the wirring to it
Read out the DTC codes, then you will know
You can use Melcodiag for this
