Great looking! Quality design and work.

Any plans to do something (aesthetically) with the cans?

Yes, save up for akras or that carbon termi with the exhaust in the front if it ever comes out lol

Looks very nice.
If you do get the 1299, you would probably be able to transfer most of the parts you have added to the 1189 and you would only get hit with the swap on the OEM bike. Still, you are going to take a hit. Personally, the extra CCs are not worth it to me.
BTW, I'd like to know if the view out of those rizoma mirrors are any better with respect to vibration. I am OK with the view out of the stock mirrors; however, the vibration is such that they are almost useless.

I think the rizoma mirrors are better than stock in every way. They do have vibration between 4-5k rpm but other than that they are solid with clear view. Thankfully I cruise at 6k :)

If the bodywork fits on a 1299 I can change the painted on logo on the CF mid for you no prob.

Finally put on my new fairings. :D

Starting to look like my own

not 1 sticker on the fairings, all CF/professionaly painted Thx to Sean @ CCR and Gunny for the referal.:)

next question is keep or trade for a 1299s

Bike looks very cool man. Just wondering if decals are looked down upon? I'm mulling over those nice decals a fellow member does and seels them. Can make my 1199 look like an SL haha.

Thx Sergio1199Panigale

No way decals are looked down upon. Its definately easier on the pocket.

I just decided to go this route because of a group of locals I went on a ride with early in the fall. About 15-25 bikes showed up and 8 were Ducati(s). One white 899, three red 1199 base and two 1199 S, and 2 Diavels. At that time my bike felt so plain and common that I had to do something to make it different you know what I mean?

Just do what feels right to you. Doesnt matter if someone has a negative opinion on anything on your bike. You cant please everybody. Just make your bike your own and be happy riding it. At the end of the day, your'e the one riding it home. No matter what you do there will always be people checking out your ride :D

I chime in too re: decals. As a painter (in my opinion) I can do things with paint stencils that can not be done with decals, fading from translucent Candy colors into "solid" colors. Very subtle shading with an airbrush without any pixelation, incorporating color shifting paints and other effect paints into the scheme of things....etc

So each material (decal or stencil) has it's own application.

I get charged the same money for an inch of decal as compared to an inch of stencil material so material cost is not an issue.

In my opinion metallics look nicer when painted on as compared to decals.

So for me it is not a question of "looking down" on decals, as a painter it is my preference to chose what will show off my work the best. I will be compiling a page off of my web site that will highlight the stencil work I can do on Cf parts.

Again, nothing wrong with decals, just a different application.

The bike look beautiful by all means, just not a big fan of the Audi logo and the tricolored tail because is not a tricolored bike, now upgrade the fork and the shock and get rid of those chicken strip at the track. great job!!!!!
