trigger pulled!! R in coming ~ April.

my flawless S with 3700 miles full termi and various carbon bits officially up for grabs

make me an offer I can't refuse :D...I will officially post it f/s in the classifieds tonight

-- Nice !! where'd you grab it....Gold Coast ?

Whoa!

yup...always a pleasure to deal with them...no hassels no drama

you too? I know they sold another

okay no more lottery winning bull now im serious... Gold coast!!??? They are by far the rudest dealers/stealers that i know. no customer courtesy no acknowledgement of customer presence and they make assumptions on buying customers and are nonnegotiable to the point if they sense you want even 100 dollars off a 24000 dollar bike the sales guy sas "oh hmmm why dont you go to so and so dealer" and in nyc not much r's sold so i dont see why they cant give it to you march when they arrive.

And dont ask for a manager because the sales guy is the owner ! I even called once and the phone operater is screaming from the top of her lungs i rather wait until mcdonalds carrys motorcycles better service there!!

Ducati soho nyc is pretty fair but new jersey cross country ducati is beyond awesome the guys are great they are down to earth and you wont leave unless your happy ask for 'AL' hes pretty cool !

sorry to hear you had a bad experience. When I walk in, its like Cheers and everyone knows your name and says hello...I have found them to be true gentlemen and my service is done by the resident mad scientist who has a pure passion for all things Duc and his enthusiasm for his work and the customer's satisfaction is intoxicating.

The negotiating aspect is something I typically do not try to do...there is a price and I pay it. I do not accept negotiating for my fees of service and do not try to have other bend over either. They have been kind enough to include lots of service and upgrades and no labor charges many times on all of my bikes.

This will be my 4th bike from them and my partner has purchased 2 this year.

He said delivery will be in March or April. I can wait in any case.

-- i have had great experiences at Gold Coast - Tim, the resident service tech, has worked on my desmosedici exclusively - i followed him from his older shop (cliffs in brookfield ct) he's been nothing but great to me and cared for the bike 100% to my satisfaction

- i did not however buy the R there....recently a shop that i've been dealing with for many years, much closer to my home, and truly reputable, has brought in ducati.....

Trade in the S and just grab one. But for a few bits of carbon; my S is stock and flawless. Still will take a beating on the trade in but I'm not one to list things for sale and hope for a buyer

It's been a nagging thought for a while.

I'm a compulsive buyer. So....WTF....

 thought you wanted the desmo.

still do....the right specimen is going to get a visit from me soon as I can get away for a run on one of my bikes to do so...friggin' temps staying in the 20's is not helping, and then there are the mini glaciers melting across roads with their associated salt bath...me no likey salt on the Duc's

Bought my bike at cross country Maire and Terrance are awesome people. I have my bike serviced at Ducati NYC though. Not looking to bash anyone just have my reasons.

now you have me thinking trade in my s for a white s but its slightly different from what you are doing. i love the white one but red has grown on me so much. off subject rsr i got the forma ice flow in the mail the other day. boots are awesome. I have to say best boot nobody heard of. im getting the forma velocity next for short runs but they are out of stock. have you ever worn the a stars supertech? i know you have the forma so if you can how do they compare

I'd stay with red. The white crowd is generally the well liked racer type crowd. The red guys (Southeastjay and his German S&M ilk included) are probably more your type. DNA is pretty restrictive about who they will sell the white ones to so you may not even qualify. Just be glad they let you have one of the red ones and leave it at that.

Agreed, nay to the white. Here's a simple test. If you find yourself strangely attracted to the following image then you are definitely a "red" guy.

Agree, picked up my S with Gold Coast and I am very happy and satisfied with theirs service. Mechanics are awesome bike enthusiasts.

you're gonna haunt us with Jays Gimp for eternity.....aren't you:D

Sorry, I guess it is played out a bit. I'll go watch him for a while and come back with some new material.

Please, literally new material, not head-to-toe leather - thank God we don't have the rear pic of this - don't wanna know.
