Thinking about a commuter bike...

It was a really, really tough choice and, obviously, from the date of the thread it took a long time to make up my mind. In the end, it came down to the 2013 Hyper and the BMW F700GS and I decided to go with the BMW. Really hard to walk out with something other than a Ducati since I have had three back to back, but I am really enjoying riding around on this weird Bradley-esque thing. Sure it isn't fast, but I have already jumped a couple medians with it and flying over curbs is a lot more fun than I would have thought. The main criteria that tipped it to the BMW were reliability, use case (daily commuting, foul weather, etc.), gas mileage and in the end the thought of riding a mountain bike with an engine started to appeal more and more to me. On the ride home from the dealership I got caught in a torrential downpour so I was a bit nervous on new tires. She weathered the storm with no problems and is actually really confidence inspiring in the rain. I passed some poor souls riding two up on a Harley on the highway doing about 35 mph and gave them the thumbs up. Maybe there is something to this adventure riding thing? :)

Google Honda Grom, looks like a blast and 120mpg. Would be great for city only of course. It's only 3k, i put a deposit down in case I decide to buy one.

And like the ruckus you can trick it out on the cheap. A 155cc kit is like 300$, no machining required. Akrapovic even makes an exhaust. Would be sick to do it up as a cafe racer.

I'd only ride it in full leathers. That would make it even funnier.

congrats! I was gonna suggest the aprilia shiver;
