Ok... so what price is the "group buy"..that isnt???

It was mentioned here too ( http://ducati1199.com/ducati-1199/3278-tune-boy-maps-4.html#post80685 ), there was even a link specifically for it, that actually worked - very professionally done http://www.tuneboy.com.au/BuyNow/GroupBuy.html

It was $511 US.

No, I got in late Friday before they brought it down, I am not sure when they actually did. It was still there 6/1 (Saturday), so they didn't take it down immediately. I'm just showing him htere was an actul link - again, very professionally done. Have you asked if they will extend it a bit?

no, i was just checking if the link is still up.

I think this the way to do it, get the tunning software first, then buy the exhaust. That way it spreads the expense out, and makes the exhaust look cheaper!

Can someone who has purchased Tuneboy for the Panigale give feedback on:-

- How user friendly the software is to reflash the ECU
- How the bike was post update
- How effective/accurate the cruise control is

Considering removing the Rapidbike Racing module as it's put up my insurance and could do with cruise control for a few bike trips coming up, loathe to start taking it off the bike though until I'm satisfied Tuneboy won't be a step backwards.

Someone has already posted on here how good the cruisecontrol is. Just cannot remember who.

I cant comment on the cruise control but I do have the Tuneboy. Its easy to reflash, just follow the directions and be patient. Use the USB option for reflashing and not the wifi option.

Post update the bike feels better on the street. I have not had a chance to run it at the track yet.

Thanks for the feedback. Think it was a friend of his who said the cruise control was good, no reason to doubt him however it'd be nice to hear from a few others before taking the plunge. There is a video of a Multistrada on YouTube demonstrating the cruise control, it looks impressively nailed at 122kph but it does fluctuate between 115-127 at one point which is why I'd like a bit more information from those who have purchased it.

From my post #126
After 10 days of ...... weather round here I got my first chance for a short ride since installing the 'cruise and tune' map.
It was just a short commute into town but it showed that the fueling in this base map was the same as before the re-flash which is both expected and comforting.
But cruise is really really cool ! It's just really neat to bang the button and have someone(thing) else watching your speed for you. Really cool when you get that numb hand/wrist caused by not enough speed and you need to take a break to shake out the right hand. Really cool when you need both hands for a second to pull up the zip in your jacket or fasten your collar. Just made slow speed riding a whole lot nicer!
Snow rain and sleet forecast to sea level for the next few days so will have to wait again before I can test the new trims and the AFR logging.

As for the tuning I only have early impressions at this point but am very happy so far. The software update goes just like the instructions say. As per a previous post some patience is necessary. 2 uploads of the same file are necessary, 1st time seems to unlock the ecu, 2 time loads the firmware.
The base upload has no changes to the maps hence no change to performance. Map/performance changes are contained in trim files which can be loaded into ECU RAM memory for a single key on cycle, OR made permanent by applied them to an ECU firmware file and then red lashing the ECU with that file.

To date due to ...... weather round here I have only made one ride (balls out) with a trim loaded in memory. These are my impressions:

I took Pani for a quick blast yesterday and came away with a very positive impression, seemed a good deal cleaner down low, less fluffiness, warmer and more open and free revving if that makes sense. Torque curve feels better into the mid range and in low gears it feels like the twist grip is directly linked to the rear axle ie the more you twist the grip the more the front wheel twists into the sky!
On the whole I feel the bike is faster to ride and a little bit less 'animal'. A definite improvement over the racing up map even with the Termi slips.

I took coffee at the far end of my ride and the trim fell back to standard as I expected and the ride went back to standard fussiness confirming my impressions.

As for the bundled software, it's quite user friendly and I have the impression that it will yield results on a dyno quite efficiently. I think the real time fuelling adjustments are quite an advantage in this regard.

Oh and for the sake of clarity while it might sound like I have just written an advertorial for TuneBoy I have no affiliation with Wayne, I'm just a happy customer. I really couldn't give a rats arse who installs TB.

Re CC
Mine sits usually inside of 1-2k from target, I don't think I ever seen it outside of 3k from target. Only the Dyno it is probably subject to step load changes that are not found in normal riding.

Pouakai - thanks, just what I was after. Sorry, missed your earlier post. Order going in shortly...
