Tune Boy Maps

Nope... Tuneboy remaps the Ecu... this is not located in the dash...

Not totally true anymore. Though it may or may not affect tuning maps. 2013 or at least 2013 R's the dash and ecu are now linked. Ecu stores some info now and communicates with the dash (or throws errors).

Also if the dash is changed mileage no longer resets anymore.

How do you know which tune you have?

I know everyone wishes there was a sequence of buttons! But the only way to know is when you hook up to the dealer's diagnostic machine, it displays there, and automatically loads the latest one.

It really is ........ that we keep going round in circles on this one. One minute there is no map, then there is! No-one has the real information. Numbers prove nothing unless you happen to have the ducati tech spec and version control document.

Tuning out of this for my own sanity :(

Nice mod for TB, have a way to find and display the curent map you have. Might be neccessary for him to detect it anyway, as a change might affect its operation.

and now i think i might regret it, not having bought the sensors...

Why? They are a hell of project to install, and you don't really need them to use a current map, right?

so far, right. but with a "decated" stock exhaust and a MWR filter, i might be off a bit...

any who, it has been black market funds (to the wife) and i don't want to stretch my hidden benjamins further :D

I control the finances, i.e. she is un-involved, but I have to be responsible (very hard for me). I am going to get the TB for my stock 1199, just for the tech sake/cruise. I don't want to mess with that whole install thing, it will make a minimal diff for all the work.

i think there will be some gains possible, but i will try to take advantage of the widebands at a local dyno, and use this to save the map. no need to buy them and have them running all time.

we are both in charge of the cash flow, but she has her own business and i don't mess with it. i am just happy about the transferred funds. but then OTOH she gets pissed when i spend it on bike stuff ;) most of the time i compensate the anger with buying her girl's stuff :D

i am excited to have a cruise control and a silencing mode on my bike!!!

Silencing mode? I don't recall reading that.

we were giving input here for having the valve closed in wet mode <30mph. or something like that. Wayne said he would look into that...

I think it was having it open all the time, except in wet mod under 30 as an idea of how to control it. It is already closed below something :) Is it an RPM or MHP? I have no idea.

now i am confused. :confused::confused::confused:

valve: always open, except wet mode & slower than 30 mph (not rpm ;) )

or not?

It is noisey when opened, alot of guys open it permanantly. So the request was, could it be closed when you are leaving your neighborhood, and how what that be controlled? So the suggestion was have it open all the time, except when it wet mode, keep closed until over 30. You have to use the existing controls on the Pani to do it, like the cruise control uses existing buttons.

When you start the TuneBoy flash program it shows the current map in the data layout field.
0206 was released a few weeks back.
The program part of the 0206 map is exactly the same as the 0205 map.
Some very small changes to the throttle tables and ignition tables.

I have been working on the quick shifter code and the iPhone application.
The quick shifter code will allow clutchless down shifts and much shorter kill times for up-shifts.

The next version of the TuneBoy maps will support the strain gauge shifter and a pit lane speed limit function.

Great news. Any plans to add an Android version of the app after the iPhone?

Pit speed limiter will be nice, how about launch control?

We have until tomorrow for the group buy, correct?
