I'm not exactly certain what you mean by 'small black cover'. My bike is a 2013, and all my electricals are bare on the right side of the bike after you take the fairing off. Perhaps you mean the ABS cover?
I use the strain sensor from Tuneboy for my shifter, so I get both quick shift and blipper. I wired the power/signal connector using one of the plugs from teh stock O2 sensors, signal ()yellow wire) to pin 1, GND on Pin 2 and Power on Pin 3, then plug it into the O2 sensor plug that I'm not using for the shifter. Fortunately, by just reassigning the shifter to the other plug I can move the power/Gnd for the setup to whichever O2 harness connector I need for my tests. I moved the front harness conector for the V cylinder behind teh ECU, so that both O2 harness conectors are next to eachother, then removed both of the stock O2 sensor plugs from that area to give enough room for the Innovate wiring and teh shifter connector. Since it took a while, and I wanted to double check things before I took some rides and began Roll-On tuning the fuel curves, I didn't get any road time today, though I did practice with the software by playing with idle and no-gear throttle revving to see how the program reacted to the changing RPM and throttle positions. Seems to act as advertised and I even played with changing the fuel maps with those bits of information. It's a new fangled thingamabob, so it will take a few tiems playing with it to get accustomed to how the programming works and the buitton clicking/hot key/and programming options available. We're expecting a lot of rain tomorrow, and throughout the week, but mostly in the afternoons, so I'lsee about getting some saddle time when I'm able this week. Good News, though, the new slip-on should be here Monday or Tuesday, depending on shipping, so I;'ll be able to get things closely dialed in after I get it installed. Doing a long ride next Saturday, with lots of highway time. I'll mount the laptop on the tank and get some good highway reference numbers and auto tune done while I'm doing the 200 mile trip.
BTW, your throttle curves look nice... VERY smooth. I'm guessing Ducati had them a bit less smooth for some reason, but I can't imagine what it would be.
