What is the general opinion of UPMap's MTorque mapping for stock SF VSs so far? Pros & Cons? Regards!
Absolutely love it! Really is like a new bike, I have ZERO complaints. The torque is awesome, better throttle response just get it you won’t regret it.

I’m loving the bike after uploading the new maps. I got both the Performance and MTorque maps for the bike. When I bought the bike I was blown away but it always felt well kind of bland until 10k. I’ve been running the MTorque for a week now and it’s a completely different bike in the mid-range. Also I noticed it runs a bit smoother compared to stock. I understand why Ducati tuned the bike like this, it makes the bike pass noise and emissions standards as well as makes it less intimidating to ride. It’s the best mod for the buck right now in my opinion.

I did disconnect the O2 sensors like Termignoni recommends. Termignoni states that for their maps to work correctly you need to disconnect the o2 sensors. I tried it both ways and couldn’t tell a difference. True or not I followed their recommendation. See the attached images. They are not my photos I just took screenshots since I’m at work. One connector is located under the seat and fuel tank. I needed a 3 and 4mm Allen key along with a T25 torx. Take off the front seat. Remove the fuel tank/battery cover and side fairings. Then there are two bolts under the fairing for the fuel tank. After you remove those pop the fuel tank up and slip a wood stick or bar underneath the tank to hold it up. Then from the rear of the bike snake your hands in the small space and disconnect the rear o2 sensor. It’s kind of a pita between the lack of space and contorting your hands to push the locking tab down on the connector. The other is right behind the left lower cover right in front of the side stand. You shouldn’t need any tools for that one.
The front and rear connectors are the same so I recommend disconnecting the front first. That way you can see where the locking tab is unlike the rear where you have to do it by feel.

Thanks for sharing. I looked at doing this but way too much work and others on here I trust did not remove them so I left mine on. Good to know you did not notice a difference after removal.

You know the radiator guards are a bear too!

Are you running the maps with oem exhaust or aftermarket? Also you said you purchase the performance and mtorque maps, any major difference between the two?

The Mtorque maps remove the torque limit in the lower gears.

A performance map will come free with the T-800 but you have to pay extra for the Mtorque.

I understand the difference on paper. Watching bills review he said he didn’t notice much difference between the two and just get the performance map. So I was looking for another first hand experience between the two maps.

I have used both maps and there's a difference with the Mtorque. If you never really hammer it in the lower gears you aren't going to notice that its there. But, there are quite a few accounts of how the Mtorque maps perform in this thread.

Bill is also the same guy who complains about a bike's lack of power when he's in fourth gear at 1500 RPM on a track.

This is the real world info I need... thanks for this! I'm not into track riding / racing - this is a STREETfighter and not a Panigale... I ride the normal highways and mountain twisties - I shift between 6000 and 7000 rpm. Most of my riding is in 5th and 6th. If I understand you correct, I will not feel much of a difference apart from better startup / idle and maybe a "smoother" ride with some better throttle response?? How did the Mtorque affect your fuel economy??

Will the Mtorque map work with the full Akra system? Anyone know how it compares to the map which comes with the Akra exhaust?

I didn't notice fuel economy decreasing but it's never been that good or even something I focused on to be honest. Both the Mtorque and Performance maps will give better startups and idle, more power and a smoother ride.

Both maps will also remove the power dip below 7k. I think this is the biggest improvement over the OEM mapping.

The Mtorque removes the torque limit which IMO is nothing more than a throttle position limitation. So in the lower gear when you fully twist the throttle the ride by wire doesn't give you 100%.

Yes. It isn't perfect as canned maps never are. It would be better to have a map made for your specific bike but that's not always possible or reasonable. I have the Mtorque map for the Termi slip-on without Db-killers loaded onto my SF with the full Akrapovic system. If Termi ever releases a Mtorque for the Akrapovic system I'll be more than happy to take a look at it but for now I'm very happy with my purchase.

I didn't get to compare it to the Akra map as since I installed the exhaust myself the dealer wanted me to jump through a bunch of hoops to flash it. I figured instead of going through that headache I'd just buy the T-800 and take care of it myself. Being able to read and reset (some) engine codes is a bonus to the T-800 as well.

Yes I have the full AKR system with the dealer installed map. It was ok at best. I added the T800 with the MTorque and this is how the bike should be with the AKR map. Its money well spent. the bike should never be as restricted as it was IMO. It sucked so bad I was thinking I'd sell it to be honest. Now its much better. I'm hoping Bren comes out with one that will also address the throttle ramping and if they do I'll jump on that one also. That's the last thing I need to correct and she will be perfect.

Are you saying the t800 map has a throttle mapping of 1:1 and you want the bren map to be say 1:2?

isn’t there a setting on the bike already for dynamic throttle? I thought race mode default was set to this.

No I don't think the map changes anything to do with the throttle. The race mode doesn't either. I believe the bike is like the V4S which also has the same issue. ( I have one also with the full AKR) When your 100% open your butter flies are not 100% open. The ratio between open and close needs to be tuned to 1 to 1. They aren't now and I pretty sure they are not addressed with the Mtorque either. They lift the torque restrictions that's where the mid range is coming from.

So if I understand this correctly, the Mtorque will save the Akra map just in case I need to go back to that for some reason, correct?

To clarify, the physical device used the flash the bike is called a T-800 and its done with the phone app. Mtorque and Performance are two different types of the air/fuel maps you can buy. You can download a Performance map for free with purchase of the T-800 but, a Mtorque will cost extra.

With the T-800 you can download whatever map is currently on the bike and restore it whenever you want.
