To clarify, the physical device used the flash the bike is called a T-800 and its done with the phone app. Mtorque and Performance are two different types of the air/fuel maps you can buy. You can download a Performance map for free with purchase of the T-800 but, a Mtorque will cost extra.

With the T-800 you can download whatever map is currently on the bike and restore it whenever you want.
Yes I’m sorry I said that wrong the Mtorque doesn’t save anything it’s the program. My bad

No worries brother, I think the other poster had it mixed. There almost needs to be a dictionary because of how many different terms there are; just to make sure everyone is talking about the same thing.

If you find out anything from Brentuning, please post- I reached out to them as well. That should be the real answer for these bikes.

My local dealer just called me and he’s going to tune the Street Fighter and can remove all the restrictions and mod the throttle tables. I’m going to set it up to bring it to him and see what he can do. He tuned my 1299 and gained me 12HP and 5 lbs.

This sounds like the perfect Christmas present to myself. My bike will stay with the stock exhaust. Anyone else in the UK got the MTORQUE map loaded with the stock exhaust?

do you know what software he is going to use to tune it?

I would guess it has something to do with the factory service software.

I mentioned to the tech at my dealer that the SF is soft down low compared to the Pani V4. He said once it is out of warranty he can give me all the power that is missing. And my dealer doesn't have a dyno.

Very interesting... I'm following this with big open eyes and ears....!!

I would be AMAZED if Ducati gave their dealers the capabilities to do this

Yeah I don't think its from Ducati for sure but they do it right at the shop and if something is wrong they'll always stand behind it for sure. I'm dropping the bike off next Saturday. I have to take out the MTorque tune and put the AKR back in. He's going to remove the restrictions in each and change the throttle mapping to be more aggressive and set the fuel ration to be 13 to1. This same guy got my 1299 over the AKR map up another 7HP and 5lbs with just a tune. the 1299 lays down I think it was 105 lbs.

If you could find out what he is using for the v4 I would greatly appreciate it,

Reasonably, you'd only effect the warranty for something directly related to the fueling or something which can reasonably be related to same. If a front brake caliper starts leaking you're covered.

@Somefun Do you really feel something is still lacking with a full Akra system and a Mtorque map?

I think it’s night and day over the AKR up map for sure but I know it’s not as 100% perfect. Still very good though. If I didn’t have access to my dealer tuning the bike I’d leave it along. But it’s winter and I’m a nut case to make everything perfect. What I’m really looking for at this point is to be able to manipulate the throttle tables and make sure all torque restrictions are off and that WOT is actually 100% open

@Somefun I suppose if I were in your situation I'd do the same. If someone could dyno tune my bike without using a piggy back device or the like I'd be all over it. But, I wonder if there's another reason why Ducati set it up the way they did. Like a limitation to the traction control electronics or some gain in perceived rideability.

I think they build it like that for safety due to all types of riders getting on these bikes. But I ride some pretty cool stuff and enjoy a bIke stepping out and wheeling it’s part of it for me. For me tame is lame. Lol

Hi all, just got my Streetfighter v4s 2 weeks ago, came from 14 Aprilia Tuono with race map and Akra slip on. For those that got the MTorque or performance map and only with a stock exhaust, do you feel the price is well worth it? Does the gain from removing the limited torque totally transform then bike? I am kind of on the fence on getting the Mtorque map but will not be upgrading to different exhaust at all, staying stock is good enough for me. Also, should I wait until I get my first service done first before getting upmap?

I have the same sentiment and question - In my case I pay times 18 (X18) because of the exchange rate. So I'll wait to hear from other's experience before I buy.

To add to this question, with the purchase of T800, I know you get one free map, can that free map be the MTORQUE one instead of performance? or do I have to buy the MTORQUE even though I only want one map? If that's the case, I guess I have to spend $350 for the T800 and another +$200 for the additional MTORQUE map?
