He told me it matters. Just unplug them.
maybe there will be a new exhaust in the future and I’ll get those sensors completely outta there.

I hope it runs better with them unplugged
Thanks, I like the relative ease of unplugging vs removal.

I still haven’t seen “unplug O2 sensors” in any instructions including in their app that looks like it was created 15 years ago

the only proof that I even needed to strip the bike and just unplug them was post 167 in this thread:

Mine are unplugged and my bike is running exceptionally well.
I would like to see some massive improvements to the app because this is the way forward.

They have my list of requests. I hope they can put together the resources to take this platform to the next level

at least my bike is running well now

The CS rep told me to unplug them when I was emailing with them. He said “make sure you unplug the lambdas”. I did not ask why. I did not see this in instructions either. I may try unplugging them this weekend and see if there is any difference.

Would really like to hear some more comparison from people before and after unplugging O2 sensors and see if they notice any real difference. I have the MTorque map on stock exhaust, would really prefer to not have to unplug it if I don't have to especially since it's such a hassle to unplug

Bike is on stands awaiting fork cartridges since its cold AF now so I'll give it a go. Less wires is always a bonus.

IIRC, the Akra full system for the 1199 was sized for wideband sensors and came with adapters for narrow band with drilled plugs so you could safety wire them. It didn't cost $5k either...

Argh, looks like I'll have to unplug those sensors....was watching the video Termi sent me and saw this in the video description, guess that's why they want you to unplug them...

In this video under the suggestion of UpMap I proceeded, after installing the specific map UPMAP MTORQUE + ARROW TERMINALS, to disconnect the two connectors of the lambda sensors in order to prevent the bike from reading wrong data from the lambda instead of from the loaded map!

It was running worse at part throttle after my dash displayed “racing pro” before I was informed to disconnect sensors. I should have read the instructions
Strip the bike, do the work, disconnect, tape off and secure the connectors & wires.
Reflash again
Now it’s better than it was stock and laying down more power than my 1299 ever could.

UpMap is pretty sweet, I think there were some issues for them a year ago but they resolved all the issues and it’s good to go other than the poor Italian >>> Engrish translation
I need DDS 2.0

If you want to trip, look at the heal guards from behind the bike. It reminds me of the legacy S1000RR retarded headlights. Thoughts?

guess why they did this?

I think it's because each heel guard serves a different purpose. Left side keeps your foot out of the chain, but leaves enough open at the back so your heel contacts the swingarm, allowing you to feel what it is doing. Right side actually supports the heel to keep it out of exhaust and/or the wheel.

Or at least that's my guess.

Check out this thread which discusses the benefits of removal of the O2 sensors rather than just unplugging.

Did not bother to experiment with keeping them plugged in due to reports of interference with the map, and physical damage that occurs to the sensors if left in unplugged.

I am running a T800 map on my Hypermotard and removed the sensors after unplugging; used bung plugs for the ports. Runs well.

Yes I spent 299 E on the T800 and an additional 199 E on the MTORQUE map. The SFV4 20 OEM was free with a code when you purchased the T800. That code does not work on the MTORQUE map. That map is considered a “premium” map and NOT applicable toward your free map with purchase of the T800.

Yes it was expensive but I have spent a lot more money and time uncorking previous bikes. As of now I don’t feel I need to spend 2K on a slip on. I also don’t have to do any piggyback wiring or wrenching. You only need to remove two screws to take the back seat off and plug into the stock Ducati plug.
Were you required to Unplug the two lambda sensors? I’m about to go the same route but unplugging one of the sensors looks to be a bit of a hassle. Thanks in advance

Guys, so big problem for me, I unplugged both lamba sensor and reflash again with MTorque OEM map. Now the bike won't start. the bike will turn but not starting at all. One thing comes to mind, I noticed this connector was just sitting there (Red and yellow) one when I lifted up the tank. Does this need to be reconnect back to the gas tank? Is there a plug for it? Could this be the source of my issue?

“just disconnect your O2 sensors” he said

The rear O2 sensors runs under the seat and under the gas tank:

red connector with yellow waterproofing unplugs from gas tank. The O2 sensors are below that

The O2 sensorlook like this:

this is a 2020 PV4, I’d assume the SFV4 are the same

This is the red and yellow plug I was referring to, does that need to be plug back into the tank? When I lift the tank up, I noticed it's not plugged into anything so I resembled it that way and now my bike won't start after the reflash and O2 sensors unplugged.

I removed my sensors today and ordered some plugs that came with copper washers. I'll see if it makes a difference probably sometime in the spring. Stupid snow.

Hi buddy,
The electrical plug you need to pull has got 4 pins.
Best way to do it, is to pull the front o2 plug first, that way you will be able to recognise the rear o2 plug.
