Simple answer is it likely doesn't. I never had any issues with my T800 flashed V4 starting in the sub-30s so it might adjust based on the IAT sensor, but that would be its only way of know what the outside world is like.

I have a T800 map on my Hyper for the decat, exhaust and airbox mods I put in, but I wonder if a custom map would be better. Many reports of improved performance with a custom map, si I may try it just for comparison.

Interesting thread here about wideband AFR vs flashed tune:

I think a custom map made for your machine in your environment will always outperform any other pre-baked option. However, the V4 electronics package has been out for a few years now and there still is very few flashing/custom tuning services available. I'm definitely looking to get a custom tune, but after swapping out intake/exhaust, something like the T800 wherein most maps just add more fuel, an easy solution to prevent running too lean, isn't a bad solution. Definitely not the best, though.

How does the flashed map adjust for changes in altitude, temp, humidity, etc. without a wideband AFR sensor?

I run a wideband AFR module on another bike which constantly monitors the air/fuel ratio (AFR) to keep it at prescribed parameters (average 13).

How does a fixed fuel map adjust?

all modern fuel injection bikes have a temperature and pressure senor to adjust for temperature and elevation changes.

this is the same on flashed and unflashed bikes. The stock o2 sensors are narrow band and only active at light throttle and lower rpm to get the bike through emissions. They do absolutely nothing at anywhere close to full throttle

How long have they had the bike now? What did they charge for it?

They’ve had it a while but only working on it on the weekends after hours. I’m fine with it because they also have my Speciale doing the same custom mapping when my SF is done. No clue on the cost sorry. As long as they mapped the throttle the way I wanted I’ll be thrilled

What city and state is your dealer in? I'm wondering if a road trip is in order if they can do custom tunes on the OE ECU.

I doubt that there’s that many Ducati dealers in NY. I’m sure with a few cold calls one could figure it out. The bad news for me is that he said NY. That’s quite a haul from the Midwest.

If I knew I'd tell you. ;) I had heard, and by that I mean read on the internet, that the newest generation of ECUs was more difficult to flash by design to prevent tampering with emissions controls. I don't know if there's any special liability involved.

Right, how is Termi able to hack the bike, tune it and flash it? BrenTuning, same questions. Those who can offer a flash for the 2020+ models are very secretive.
The Termi T800 UpMap flash is better than stock but there’s definitely room for improvement cause it’s a bit twitchy going slow at a constant speed, I feel like that’s what the BrenTuning flash cleaned up on my 1299 and that thing was a bull w stock tune
They told me to drop it off for 2 days

Is that the nice way of encouraging us to figure it out on our own lol

If you really want your bike tuned and T800 is not for you, these are the names I always hear. You could ship them the bike.

Two that I know of in NY/NJ

UpMap: Interesting, yet confusing... In 2016 I was fed-up with my XDiavel's throttle response and landed up buying a Rapid Bike EVO system. The bike went to a well known tuner and the complete setup process including Dyno tuning followed as I did not use the "self learning" option. After a lot of money spent I was told that the Bosch ECU on the bike was locked and the end of the story was that I disconnected the RB EVO, losing a lot of money. My question is where does UpMap's maps live if the SF also has a "locked" ECU? I understand the RB situation as it uses a "piggy back" box feeding the ECU some "%^*&" input. So, where does the UpMap maps live in the SF??
