I tried installing the t800 on my ‘18 V4 and it was a horrible experience. The unit is glitchy and ultimately froze and corrupted my ECU turning my bike into a paperweight. I then had to return my bike to my dealer and pay to have the factory map reinstalled. After many emails back and forth with upmap they have wiped their hands of my case and have done nothing to help. Worst experience and I can only say to spend the extra cash and get a proper tune done . AVOID this product!!!

Wondering if it’s because of US ecu spec and AU ecu spec are different. I was going to get one but might wait now

That sucks for sure.
I installed and remapped with the unit 3 separate times without a glitch.
I wonder what the real risk is for a serious problem percentage wise.
Not to minimize your horrible experience at all.
For me it was 100% lol. I’m Sure there are others, like yourself, that it’s been totally fine...it’s all about risk and reward I suppose.

Just heard back from my tuner on the custom tune for the Street Fighter. The bike on the dyno with the full AKR system and air filter and the Mtorque map made 185HP & 75lbs now after the custom tune and a couple other tweaks she's making 195HP & 80 lbs. He also reworked the throttle mapping. That's the part I really wanted done. He smoothed out the map a bit more after this chart but I didn't have it for the post. Can't wait to try her out once this damn snow melts!

Nice! Yeah I was talking with Steve a bunch about the restrictions in the SF and he thought he could improve over the UpMap so I wanted to let him work his magic. He said the Speciale is also limited with some restrictions so he's going to remove those also. Looking forward to getting them both back and riding them.

The red line does look way better in my eyes. Not sure why you think there's less HP. It's actually more max hp and torque than the Mtorque map and the flat spot at 5k was corrected. the Blue line is the custom map and the red was my Mtorque map. I wasn't looking for anymore max hp, the bike already has more than most need. It was the torque limiting tables down low and poor throttle that really needed fixing.

He is talking about the 2 areas in Steve’s tune where hp dipped when it got fat

I see a flat spot at around 5.300 u/min, one at 9000 and a little one at 7800 for the blue line.
The red one is nicely linear from the bottom to the top.
Mabe i understood it wrong but i guess the blue line is your custom map with more hp max Power?

Yes the blue line is the custom map. He tuned out the little dip that was right about 5200 / 5300
