Recent buyers: what are you paying for delivery and setup charges?

My dealer is quoting me $550 for delivery and $799 for setup. I don't really want to argue with them over nickels and dimes but I will bring the issue if this is off market (my guess is it's not for this bike in a major market but wanted to confirm with the group here).

Thanks in advance for the input.

Delivery and setup is often another profit source. Setup typically doesn't take more than 2 or 3 hours tops. Look at their shop rate and multiply - don't pay more than that. Shipping is typically stated by the Mfr - around $400 I think. Don't pay more than $750 total for shipping and setup.

I didn’t pay setup or shipping on my Speciale. I paid msrp otd and my taxes will be paid in my home state once I get the bike.

Here is what I paid on my V4S:

$0 delivery
$250 setup
$179 doc

Looks like motocorsa in Portland just got their first v4s to a customer. Let's hear some USA rider feedback!

I received Motocorsa's first delivery Saturday.... but I haven't even ridden it yet. Brought it home and took it apart... Sorry.
The perk is Ill be selling many parts for the V4 shortly. Search for FuturisMoto on Instagram or Facebook to keep track of design and parts development. I used to run the machine shop for a high end aftermarket parts manufacturer before I opened my own shop. I promise there will be some quality billet coming soon for the V4

Just Did 3D some scanning yesterday, and more next week

Got word, next week ETA on base model....no exhaust in site thought.

My dealer couldn't/wouldn't confirm if what they say about the full system exhaust being on back order because all/most initial ones have to go to the Speciale owners hmmmm.

They didn't get theirs for their demo either ...

Walked in last Friday and bought a base on the floor without a preorder in Northern California, deal wasn’t great but supply is limited and I needed it ASAP for R&D.

Hey as long as you're happy with it and you know the name of the game "supply and demand". What's a coupe more dollars right...

Enjoy that puppy, post some pics in the picture thread.

In my case, I hope the exhaust shows up when I get the bike because I feel like if I break the bike in without the Akra exhaust and the longer it takes i may change my mind about wanting it lol.

I got my V4s 2 weeks ago at Garcia Moto in Raleigh, NC.
Loving the bike so far.
Just figured I'd say hello :)

I am doing VIR North on March 26h and April 2nd to break her in right.

Butchering the bike already?! The Ducati police will be coming for you. :D

Hey guys... my 2 cents,

I took delivery of my V4 S on March 2nd from EuroCycles of Tampa. Have about 1300 miles of Florida riding on it now in about two weeks. Definitely had the stalling issue as some talked about but I was told that would be fixed with the charcoal removal which will be done at the same time the exhaust comes in. Also had an oil service light come on shortly after my 600 mile service which could not be reset in normal procedures but with a firmware upgrade, that was cured.

Guys, other than an xDiavel S, this is my first Ducati. While I don't have much of a comparison from a 1199 or 1299, etc... I do have a good amount of sport bike experience over 20+ years... this is by far the nicest and sickest bike I have every owned. While its an aggressive seating position, I've been able to do 400+ mile runs in a single day and still walk, which at 40 can be a challenge. haha

Anyways, my last sport bike was a 2016 S1000RR and I can say without a doubt that is a much better riding bike and I won't know much from the track side for another 4 weeks, I already believe it will be easier and faster on the track as well. If you're on the fence about getting one, I would highly recommend it. I absolutely love it!!!

Ok I've got a VIN for my base V4 and should be here tomorrow. Of course due to work I have to endure more torture and pick up on Friday lol.

The exhaust is still nowhere in sight and im tempted to just scratch it for now, especially since I just picked up a MINT 1098S Tri last week which was not in the plans lol.

Time to commit to a few upcoming track events, im getting rusty and that dang "primitive" Tri scares me haha. She's a mad beast.

...ready to break her in !!

Just curious as to why you said it's a much better riding bike than the s1000rr? Other than it's a ducati and sexy as hell and newer. I have a 2017 s1000 as as much as I hate to admit it it's probably the best out of the box sportbike for anything you ask it to do I have ever owned. That doesn't mean it's my favorite though.....lol.
