Hey guys, just had a random thought pop up. I'm waiting for my V2 to show up, still have a few more weeks until it does, but in the mean time I was wondering how tall are you guys and are you able to have both feet planted flat while sitting on the bike at a light?

I installed the Ducati Spacers heat shield kit, took off the front reflectors, took off the passenger pegs, and I have the Futurismoto tail tidy and turn signals coming. I’m planning on getting some Rizoma bar end mirrors too. I bought a Pit Bull rear stand and a Baxley sport chock, both of which I highly recommend. I also plan to order the Kaoko throttle stablizer, too. I bought the tool to adjust the chain and rear shock, a good set of metric allen wrenches and sockets, and triple square sockets. And I put the Pro Grips 717 hand grips on. Again, definitely recommended. I also bought a Shoei RF-1400 helmet. And a Ducati comfort seat. I also removed the passenger handle which is tucked in the rear seat compartment. I also plan on buying the solo seal cowl at some point.

Suddenly, I feel like this obsession has been kinda expensive.

Wow thats a long list. I definitely may be interested in the heat shield kit. I'm waiting to see how much the heat actually bothers me. I'm planning on taking off the front reflectors as well. Can't take off the passenger pegs since my fiance enjoys going for rides but I am trying to get her licensed soon so hopefully she can get her own bike then. Are the original mirrors that bad? I noticed everyone replaces them. Also the seat, I notice a lot of people tend to go for the comfort seat as well.

Above 5,000 rpms, the mirrors are useless. They shake like a dog dunked in a lake.

Ah crap, well that explains it then. I have so many things to learn about the bike, I haven't even taken one for a ride yet. The demand is insane here they can't even keep them at the dealerships long enough.

I have a V4 and deleted the mirrors in favor of Furturismoto's LED block offs. They are only useful for seeing if there's a cop behind you at a red light without turning your head. Even then you still see mostly your elbow.

That's unfortunate. I actually like the OEM mirror look so I was hoping to keep them. I guess I'll have to add that to the list as well.

I'm only 5'8" and I can only get the balls of my feet on both sides. I would love the comfort seat but that would make things a little worse .

Nice, I guess I should be okay then. Just hoping it comes in sooner than expected.

Keep in mind that your height is only an estimate of your ability to reach the ground easily. What really matters is your inseam. I am 6'1", but I have a long leg inseam at 36". I can reach easily with the V2 and a comfort seat, but that is expected with such long legs.

Yeah I guess I should measure that.

Another 2 pages of complete and utter goofy nonsense. maybe go to the dealer and sit on that one or find someone who has one and sit on that one or do what any sane person would do and wait till your bike gets there and sit on it and maybe then if need be, you can look into some shoe wedges.

Thanks for your useless advice goof. The reason I wanted to ask is because the dealers here are all sold out of them, the ones on the floor are pre sold and we're understandably not allowed to sit on them (I've asked). No one that I know owns a Ducati let alone a V2. Mine is going to take another month to get here so if I find out that it would be too tall now I could explore other options. To me that seems like the more logical thing to do instead of wasting time waiting and then ordering something else and waiting again. Perhaps next time instead of wasting your precious time with our "goofy nonsense" you can just keep it moving and spend your time elsewhere. You come in here mouthing off like somebody forced you to read two pages of a topic that you're clearly not interested in.

Or think about it this way. Most Italians aren't taller than 5'10" therefore they wouldn't make a bike they couldn't fit on.

On the other hand, if the Dutch built it, you'd be screwed.

LOL Dude you’re 5’10.not 5’2. Did you really think it was going to be an issue and “that” was potentially a deal breaker? Wow

I think 5' 10" is close enough to the area where you're either flat footing or tip toeing. It's my personal preference that I'm able to have both my feet down while the bike is stopped as well as backing it up. Either way there were a bunch of people in here who offered helpful advice that clarified things for me, I don't see anything wrong with asking.
