Lol yeah I know about the mirrors. I put my lid up there very gently. I probably won't do that again either. Mirror block offs and bar ends are on my want list. Those factory mirrors are pretty useless anyway.

As to the sound, I was pretty surprised how good it sounds stock. Nothing will ever beat an aftermarket full exhaust, but stock its still throaty on wide open throttle and it burbles nicely on the overrun. The only problem I have with the stock exhaust is the fact it probably weighs 50 pounds.
I tried to hang my helmet on my mirror....once, only once! I've had breadsticks that were stronger! I'm sure an open handed whomp would leave them floppy eared. Also true is that stock sound. Not bad with the pops and burbs.

I bent down yesterday to set my helmet next to the bike and bumped my head on the mirror when I stood up. First words out of my mouth were "please God no!" Lol

Thankfully my breadsticks live to see another day.
 
Orlando, Florida here and just picked mine up last Friday. I ordered the Akra full exhaust system from Ducati for it. I did not know this but, the Akra also comes with the Sprint air filter. I had the dealer flash the Akra up-map before I picked the bike up. I just finished the install last night. lt took me a good 10 hours or so but, I was in no hurry and took my time. I noticed that the sticker on the bubble wrapped bags it came in said Panigale 1199 on it. I wonder if it's the same exhaust that fits the 1199? Have not had a chance to ride much as I only have 9 miles on it so far.

Was it just the end can or the full system?
What is the volume difference?

I fancy a new exhaust, but the oem is pretty loud already and I don’t want to be “that guy” if that makes any sense?

No full titanium Akra system. I am not sure about the volume difference. The Akra is not much louder than stock with the baffles in its more of a low deep rumble.

I had to double check the part# but it is correct. Same as on the Ducati configurator. Exhaust is sick and you will not be disappointed. You will laugh every time a car alarm goes off.

They have all types of sickness for Ducati..
 
Picked up my beautiful V2 on Wednesday. Here are a few shots from my first ride :

The bike is incredible. I have never owned a multi-cylinder sports bike. I track and race a single (Vitpilen 701), and I own a collection of dirt bikes. I know this isn't a V4, but I found the power intoxicating, and the bike seemed very, very fast. It loves to run into the higher RPM and you feel it take off once you're around 9000 RPM.

Also surprising was how agile and nimble the bike felt, and how it was effortless to tip in to corners. It felt like an extension of my mind, and I finished my first ride with a sense of pure elation. That is indeed the Ducati feeling. Something about these bikes definitely makes you feel special. Probably because they are special.

And then there's the flip side - mine is currently at the dealer for warranty work. I have a leaking clutch slave cylinder, which apparently is a relatively common problem. I'm not exactly happy about it, but at least it's under warranty. However, if it comes back and starts leaking again, I'm throwing down the money on an oberon unit and fixing it myself.

I miss my bike. Dealer said "probably a week" as of yesterday. They had to order the part, so I get to hurry up and wait. It's not the end of the world, but still. *sigh*
 
signed for one today in Greenville and wiring the money monday. i will pick it up after blue ridge parkway reopens next week.

the mechanic was fitting an aftermarket tail tidy on their other unit in stock and warned me about the mirrors/blinkers. snapped like a chicken bone. it wouldn't be hard to 3D print a filler to strengthen it but its probably smarter to let them snap than crack the fairing.

Which part os SoCal? im in OC. I signed for her on 4/4, picked up 4/23, 620mi service done a week ago, and as of this morning I am sitting on 1150mi or so. I kept her on Sport mode the whole time, min engine brake but besides that just Sport mode. I am going to try Race mode this week.
