@ChrisDunham i went there last weekend, Eli seemed legit. They are def top of my list and so is SoCal motorcycles

While you are at it, go see Dave at Newport...

Where do you live? Even if I was getting a few bucks cheaper lets say at Wheels in Motion or Pro Italia, it would not be feasable for me cause I live in OC. Im not riding up there for anything, not even the oil change. I wanted a local place that will be able to take care of me. My bike was delivered. The bike can be picked up for service too... I like the convenience.

gravel is a part of life here especially on right handers or everywhere after a hard rain.

lower guard looks good for two minutes worth of work. we will see if turbulent flow is better than laminar flow for cooling in the lower cores before the top one goes in.

my favorite dead end road opened last week going to clingmans dome at the tn/nc line. 2.5 miles of sequential left-right-left gaining 500' or so, a half mile of ridgeline that is somewhat level followed by 15 or so 30' to 40' radius corners. the road drops off with three hard rights into a 1.2 mile stretch with a slight kink midway. its 6000' up so flat out in 3rd if recon shows the parking lot empty. after that its two more miles up to the top.

not much wildlife that high but its smarter to roll at night to catch their eyes with the headlights. its best practice to aim for their eyes and gas it evorad2.jpgbecause they are going to move.

I in the South Bay- So everything is about 40 miles for me. Wheels, Newport Ducati, SoCal moto

The upper guard needs to slip in behind the black trim that holds the holds the fairing sections so it might be more involved but the lower was two minutes to install.

Cleaning out the carcasses is going to be a frequent occurrence if the upper takes too long to r and r, it might get a hinge.

The Smokys is actually classified as a rain forrest. I have owned it for 14 days and it has rained for 12 of them so I have been pimping a r1200r. You know what they say about BMW drivers. I fulfill that prophesy with honor.

Sweet my buddy works at GP!

another shot....this is about 5500' looking East at the NC side. The lower radiator screen hasn't experience a night ride yet.

I ordered some magnesium housing/glass lens hella fogs to flip 90 degrees to see if I can shed some light in the corners. it is going to be hideous mounting them in the front fork reflector hole (plus adding un-sprung weight) but at any lean angle, I am working off memory.

adjusted the rear brake pedal. easier to get the stop and play set with the return spring removed.

I used a couple zip ties to comresss the spring to get the bolt through the rod eye without worrying about cross treading

Genoa ride session. 355miles
