V4 SP2 Fuel Tank vs 2020 R tank... Compatable?

Sorry in advance, I hate flooding the forums with all these compatibility questions but I'm back yet again. Currently have a 2020 base that has the winter test livery tank on it from a 2020 R. Have an opportunity to pick up a 2022 S for a steal from a friend of a friend that needs it gone. Anyone know if the 2020 V4R tank will fit the "updated" 2022? Or, even more importantly, what about a 2022/23 SP2 tank fitting the 22 S? When I search part numbers I see the 2020 R brushed tank and 2022 SP2 brushed tank have different part numbers and slightly different lines on the top. Mounts appear to be the same but I don't want to go order an SP2 tank or swap my current bikes tank to find they don't fit.

All The tanks mount exactly the same
The difference 22 v up to 20 are the mounting ms for the battery cover and the mounting for the side panels you need to match 22 with 22, 20 with 20

Ok, so my 2020 R tank would only fit on a 22 bike by using 2020 version upper fairings and battery cover? Just looking to clarify. That being said if I buy the 22 S I'd end up just buying a 22 SP2 tank then so I can use the oe fairings as i like the 22 livery.

Slightly different.

The rear and mid mounting points on the subframe looks to be in the same place. I'm sure a motivated person could make it work, but there's likely to be some compatibility problems with how the upper side fairings mount that you'd have to sort out. I think it would be as simple as keeping 2022+ fairings with the 2022+ tank.

A little side note, the older fairings had that Velcro that ‘sorta’ held the upper fairing to the tank section, the newer fairing replace that with a screw that makes for a much more solid connection at an area that you’re pinching a lot with your legs. So I drilled out the pop rivet holding the Velcro disc in place, then drilled a corresponding hole through that section of the fairing and used a fairing screw there like the newer bikes.

I have a 2019R fairing on my 2022S, the tank will fit, but then not the fairing, or the other way around...
The 2022 tank has as said above different shape (better brake support if you ask me) and also different side and battery cover fairings. I did just cut the R fairings to get them to fit, it is a track bike only so the fit was okey after all. But that would mean that the 2022 fairings and the older tank would not work, as they are smaller in that case.
