Ah lol. Thought there was another paint scheme I wasnt aware of!

Your guitars are amazing! My dad says he’s more likely to pick one up and play it if it’s out on display rather than packed away

let’s see how u display ur SL at home

Unfortunately I no longer have the sl. I did ride it a lot and it did more than sit in the garage. Cool bike. Kind of miss it and probably should have just kept it, but I so like to trade up bikes.

I’m glad you enjoyed your time with it. That’s all you can do.
I have a 2015 1299S that’s obviously now out of warranty. I love the bike... but the 2020 model has caught my attention

Will I miss my 1299 if I trade it in for a 2020 Panigale V4S?

What do u ride now?

I have 3 bikes at the moment. Ninja h2, rsv4 factory 1100, and a bmw hp4. Missing a duc though so I'm waiting to decide on what I want to get

Hard to say as I've not ridden the v4s. The rsv4 is quite refined compared to my 1199 I had, but still retains some italian character and not so mundane as an inline 4. I imagine the v4s moreso.

Every generation is a step above the last with the occasional model that holds the test of time be it in character or uniqueness.

What I am saying is just a rinse and repeat of what I and others have said which is buy it because you want it and can afford it. I have the similar attitude to you about my 1299, use it and when its worn out or I'm over it then let it go for whatever I get for it. I dont baby it or hope to get much more than a fraction of what ive spent on it which is why I pay cash for toys. Now if I borrowed money I would probably have a very different attitude. All that said the SL doesnt light my fire enough to drop that kind of coin on it.

650ib buys motorcycles, illegally street races them, builds them and at the end of the build gives the motorcycle to a follower via raffle.

I followed him to try to glean any information I could when I was buying my 2015 Panigale R.

I thought the Superleggera looks ...not so good, but I change my mind after seeing this video on YouTube...

Although, I still think it is not the most beautiful of the Panigale V4 family, but it does looks the most menacing and powerful !
I will not hesitate to buy one if I have the extra money...not at this moment though... my logic still able to control my emotion :p

I didn't see that in my paperwork - only the $20k part.

$4k is $4k. Maybe it's not a lot for three days at Aragon on a rented race bike but it sure seems like a lot for 3 laps at Mugello, regardless of what kind of bike you can afford.

EDIT: I see they have updated it since I got the paperwork and it is indeed €4k. Thank you for pointing that out.
Unless you were in the first 30 to order and have the deposit, you can’t get the GP ride

Ducati made a lot of things more clear in the time since I posted that back in February. They themselves were still figuring it all out at that time and didn't even have it all worked out at that time.

Anyways, I made my decision back in March, sent in all the monies, chose the rides, and picked my bike number, and will be doing some fun things as a result. I plan to make the most of it all.

One day, if you're lucky, you'll be too old to ride a bike. I say that because life can be a shorter experience than you might be expecting.
So, assuming you're one of the lucky ones, it comes down your value of the bike and the associated experiences for the rest of the life -- even if you're lucky enough to - one day - be too old to ride it.
If you want the bike and the life experience AND you're not being financially reckless, then follow your dream.
Only you know its true value to you.
