I think ( i could be wrong)
the black version people are talking about is not for sale separately.
I'd guess it is the Race kitted version of the street R looks like carbon fibre race bodywork so $$$$$$$ :D

again I could be wrong

2020 panigale V4 Superleggera.:pag

Like i said akrapovic missing in total 44.500euro i knew it somewhere is going to happen so the price goes up they could put it 39.900e included but well what can we do but buy seperate :(

pressurized fork an rear adjustable pivot. big valves, ducts an trhottle bodys. lightweight crank, ti rods, forged piston, lighter oil pump and flywheel, a lot of changes.

Should be good for racing. Can't see the point of buying one for street riding, except maybe you could use those winglets for a radar detector mount or a special Ducati winglet mounted touring bag:) The winglets should be a big help in World Superbike though.

wish the paint scheme was different and they put a white number board on the front fairing instead of the stripes from the 1199r.

akrapovic is not included. it ´s included mirrors block-offs, license plate removal plug an DDA+.

Just as for the Corse because as of now, apparently the Corse is a more track oriented bike than the V4S....with just the racing design?!

Indeed big changes inside the engine! They were forced to not include the Akra exhaust in the price tag or they'd quickly run over the 40k mark.

My biggest ? is related to the black V4 R (carbon one). I doubt it will be a Superleggera version that will be later made available because if that would be the case, that bike alone would be enough to host a new Ducati show.

My best guess is that it MAY be some sort of racing fairing kit in carbon that will be made available later on as an optional to the V4 R (again, 40k limit dictates this).

Does anybody know what is the torque figure for the V4 R with the racing kit? J/C

I made a stitched spec comparison between the V4S (Corse is the same), Speciale and V4 R

i think the carbon bike is V4 RS for the WSBK & BSB.

the 998 cu. Cm 90° v4 delivers 221 hp (162 kw) at 15,250 rpm and a torque of 112.4 nm at 11,500 rpm (values referring to eu type-approval). The limiter is set to 16,000 rpm (16,500 rpm on sixth gear). By fitting the full-racing exhaust ducati performance by akrapovič, the maximum power reaches 234 hp (174 kw) at 15,500 rpm and the torque reaches 119 nm at 11,750 rpm.
.

:):):)

Now with 1000cc class going absolutely to hell with all the new 1100cc bike

I believe the R just works for someone racing in a 1000cc regulated class

If you are using it for street, trackdays or racing in an OPEN CLASS, I believe you would be better with a V4S, with its mighty torque.

I used to like there was a standar of 1000cc were everyone compited on a level field, but now everyone is on their own boat

Winglets on the street are pretty useless too. Looks neat but useless at regular speeds.

Looking back at the pictures the carbon bike does have a race seat & no head lights.

So who would think the V4R would be a better track bike for the normal guy? I like the looks & specs of the manual Ohlins. I guess one could change their E-version to the same.

these are 2018 revv limits per manufacturer note this is the V2 pani R (L2)
Aprilia 14.700 rpm
BMW 14.700 rpm
Ducati 12.400 rpm
Honda 14.300 rpm
Kawasaki 14.100 rpm
MV Agusta 14.700 rpm
Suzuki 14.700 rpm
Yamaha 14.700rpm

Does anyone know what the V4R will be limited to and doesn't this kind of smash the advantage of the 16500 Rev limiter of the V4R ?

looks like the bike produces its peak stock power at 15250 rpm but I'm assuming the engine was built to be above this rpm for mx power when it is wsbk kitted.

So $39,995 like the Speciale.

Do you think that they could tune the V4R to have Peak HP at lower revs. Even though at this point we don’t know if that is needed. At least it appears to be a much better platform to start with for WSBK.

It will be interesting to see if Bautista adapts quickly given that the motor is similar to the GP bike.
