Interesting that they view Ducati as a technology company and their company’s sole focus is progressing and leveraging tech to their benefit. If that was the case, not sure how they made the argument on return to SSSA after the 999.

My point/opinion is that mere mortals, if blindfolded

Last time I rode blindfolded... If the bike is still not turning steepen it or shorten the trail or buy a lighter wheel or widen the bars for more leverage or some combination. Is the front too stiff? Do you caress the brakes on entry to shorten the trail? If you want it to fall in more raise the CG. Once sorted mine works really good and I've got it set up sorta like a 22+ Pani. Turns pretty hard, dead neutral. What I don't like about these is the weight. Pretty heavy and scant ways to correct that.

All the SL bikes had dual wings.

The 2019 V4R was the first wide body Panigale with wings. The V4 and V4S got the wide body with wings starting in 2020.

Those are possibly the best wings ever put on ANY bike. Tons of wind tunnel and real life MotoGP testing, and developed with no restrictions or regulations whatsoever. My bike handles way better in certain situations with those than anything else.

My point/opinion is that mere mortals, if blindfolded, won’t be able to tell the difference between the current gen and new bike when it comes to performance in the context of electronics and chassis dynamics. As big of changes that have been made, they’re superficial. This new bike is more iterative than revolutionary and we’re bumping up on marginal gains at least on paper looking at it from an objective viewpoint. It’s evident on the way that Ducati is marketing it and what was displayed at RoC (0.4-1 sec improvement albeit w WSBK front brake setup). I think the biggest improvement they’ve done w this new bike is the tank design and that’s what will help most with riding.

The 18 vs 22 on the other hand was a big bump in performance at least when it came to my brief road test ride between the 2 bikes and it was mainly the refinement of the ride that sold me.

It’s also refreshing to see a manufacturer actually update their superbikes on a frequent and regular basis. You don’t see that with other brands. And I acknowledge and respect the courage it takes to make paradigm shifts.

I’m going to make this geometry change on my V4 and if that doesn’t help turning, you’ll be seeing another V4 up for sale.

For me I am not capable of extracting the level of performance out of my bike that its currently capable of, for example Ive tried sliding using the DSC and tbh I dont have the balls/skill/trust to back it in fully so its wasted on me and if .5 second laptimes are the goal, which they are not then why bother panic upgrading?. Its plenty fast, looks and sounds great plus the good news is the new model is going to see a lot of people moving up and selling off their spare wheels and other pre 25 goodies :)
I am sure that I will get a 26 or 26 eventually but for now my bike is a perfect platform for my sport riding enjoyment..

Funny, I’m looking at the pics in full track spec and thinking ‘why and I’m selling this?”

Selling is a bit of a losing option imho, you are at best going to recover 50% of the cash you put into it without getting that 60k chunk of enjoyment(120 into this bike right?)
The money is spent, gonesville so why not hang on until you feel the urge to step up from KTM, I'll guarantee that you wont be any faster on a 25 than your tricked out 916

When I'm sorting a bike what I'm always looking for is the moment when I consciously have the thought that riding (whatever i'm riding) approaches being blown all day. Then the set-up is correct. So why give up all that work for yet another. Love the one you're with. Brought to you by a disgruntled ducati marketing guy.

dropping the forks up or down through the yoke a few mm is hardly a geometry change … a minor adjustment at most!

Do you have a ride height tool ?
What is your rear ride height at?
Have you ever checked what length your shock is?
Have you ever altered it?
Have you tried different steering inserts?
Have you got offset yokes that you have tried at different numbers?

Guess that’s a no and don’t know then.. what’s the internet say? Is it basic trigonometry 😂

What OBDStar works on a 2024 V4R ? Looking online my confidence is low I am ordering the right one.

If anyone can help thanks.

A 2024 bike won’t be officially supported until 2026 most likely. They’re typically two years behind. You would likely have functionality if you manually select a 2022 since it’s the first EU5 US year. I bought mine in 2022 for use on my 2021. It wouldn’t auto recognize my VIN. I manually selected a 2020 EU4 and I could get in and reset service reminders etc. I couldn’t reset the PIN code until an update it got in 2023 and it now auto recognizes my VIN.
